I didn't like Temple becuase it's really hard to KO people. I play time more so KOs are crutial, which Temple doesn't offer. It can lend it's self to fun matches, but also annoying ones.

I didn't like it because it doesn't feel much like a stage from a TLoZ game. Sure, it could be worse and it's hard to map things from early TLoZ games, but that's my reason.

As an aside, the Great Temple/Temple remix is the third arrangement on the Dojo to be made by Shogo Sakai. His other two arrangements so far are Kid Icarus: The Underworld and Fire Emblem Theme.

I think that might be because it was specifically meant to fell like Zelda II, which is pretty unconventional as far as Zelda games go these days. Is it just me, or are the textures on this stage a lot crisper here than they were in Melee?

I've been staring at the textures, trying to figure that out myself!
I love Zelda II, especially it's music, so this update is made of win. While I didn't love or hate this level in Melee, I do love that The Adventure of Link still has representation. Here's hoping for AoL Overworld theme in My Music!

I always liked the temple stage, it only became bad when playing with two people and having the player in the lead run around the stage so you could not KO them.
Stages from the N64 SSB, I would like to see: Saffron city, Brinstar, Yoshi's Island, Mushroom Kingdom and maybe the original Mario castle stage.
Stages from Melee, I would like to see: Coreneria, Princess Peach's Castle, Pokemon Stadium, The F-Zero stages, That lakeside laboratory Zelda stage, Green Green's, the DK stage near a waterfall and the two which I think might not come back but still want, the two Earthbound stages.
I would be amazed if all the above stages managed to get in.
Also it's going to be interesting to see how the Pokemon Trainer will work on Hyrule Temple.

Well, let me say it this way: I want to play Brawl without even a lingering sensation of experiencing "Super Smash Bros. Melee Plus a Few Other Things." If we have mas many or more Returning stages than we do new ones, that'd leave me feeling...well, not upset, but I'd be really jaded. See, personally I feel the opposite - Brawl should be the culmination of the two Smash games before it, with all its new content stacked on top. I think it would therefore be great to have as close to every past stage as possible. But hey, each to their own.

*sigh*
Da Robot was talking about the Great Bay stage from Melee. He didn't know the name so he put Lakeside Lab stage, because you were fighting on a laboratory.
Savage Adam tried to correct him, but slightly failed. I made it more clear of what Da Robot said (I f**kin hate explaining myself).

I called this several times.
Firstoff. NO MORE REDUX WITH THE SAME AREA OVER AND OVER. This should rule that out. We could have a Mushroom Castle that's fine, Green Greens that's fine, and Brinstar that's fine. Jungle Japes too. They're brought back and kept mostly the same, it's perfect. We can have more room for new stages. K? K.
The remix is amazing, I love the MIDI guitar.
And the Temple was AoL based on the fact it had multiple floors, so some say. Just add elevators.

So this, once again, begs the question: is this our "second Zelda stage," and, hence, a lot of franchises will get "redone" Melee stages as part of the stage total? Or does Sakurai still intend to have a lot of original stages with these thrown on top for extra flavor?
Also, Zelda II is (and always will be) my favorite. It reminds me so much of my childhood
