Still strange to see. I always considered X to be one of the most obscure games on NinDB. I'm guessing it actually had quite a fanbase to get a Smash song. What Sakurai said in the update seems to suggest that nobody actually suggested music from X, but he put it in anyway just because he liked it. I was surprised to see it, myself. I didn't think Nintendo even remembered this game.  Still hoping for ridiculous shitloads of music over here. More chance of songs I love getting in. ;D |

I bet the 1-Up article may have been prearranged to some extent, so this game's appearance wasn't a complete mystery. Anyone know how to actually play X? I can't work out what the hell I'm doing |

The song from X is pretty good. When I get it, I'll use it for Metroid, StarFox, and/or F-Zero. I surprised that Sakurai actually remembered that X existed. Obviously he's been looking through the Database FryGuy.

It's a great song! Definitely awesome, my favorite since Ashley's Theme.
...Now, where the flipping flying wizzle is some F-Zero music? X(

Because, surely if they revealed some F-Zero music it would undoubtedly confirm that Falcon's playable. And *poof* there goes a secret character. Don't tempt me. |

It definitely matches a Star Fox level like Lylat Cruise really, really well. And on the topic of non-series music in series games... Balloon Fight for Ice Climber, definitely, but I figure Kid Icarus will have enough music to pull off its own little selection. I can see it sharing some Balloon Fight and music as well, though. Hey! Maybe we'll get some Wars music?  |

And yet Dr. Mario fans, and at least one person on this board, were still arguing that he could be in Brawl so Sakurai could use Dr. Mario music again. And this clinches that it's not the case. EDIT: On another note, Dedede's wrestling ring needs to be a stage, and the theme from Pro Wrestling needs to be alternate music for it. |

By the way, the dude who arranged this song is Yusuke Takahama, apparently responsible for the Digital Pinball series. He's also the guy who arranged "Metroid Boss Battle: Ridley Fight" for Brawl.
