Back on topic, some guy ripped the songs off the site and found them to be longer than what Sakurai postedSo the extended music demos are out there on the web SOMEWHERE. The Gamefaqs topic for it was closed, but there must be a source out there some place. You can here the extended K.K. Rider as a Youtube here: youtube.com/watch?v=g9FluZsvrhsDude! Let us know if you find the rest! I'd love to hear extended versions of these songs. My friend confirmed that the K.K. Slider one was legit and it's what he heard. He's the most trustworthy dude I know, so I buy his story. What's funny, though, is that nobody seems to know what happened to the extended music files. The Gamefaqs/Gamespot thread was deleted, and Smashboards (so far) turns up nothing.

'Some guy' is full of crap. I just downloaded two of the swf files that play the music and opened them with a Flash decompiler... the mp3 files are embedded in the file (so the player doesn't stream a file elsewhere on the server) and they're just as long as the site says they are. I don't think it's necessary to check any of the other music files. Here's an image with the Go K.K. Rider! player opened, for the unbelievers. 52 seconds long just like the site says. (The blurred out parts are my documents - pardon my paranoia)

I have a feeling this is the case. The "extended" version of K.K Rider you showed us could have easily been an edit, as we technically heard nothing new. K.K Slider's voice was ripped directly from the original version, and the extended arrangement was an exact repeat of the beginning of the song. It's likely just really clever editing that managed to fool your friend and several others.

Fake fake FAKE. The guy combined the sample with the real K.K. Rider theme from Animal Crossing, it's pretty obvious.
All of these rumors and fake shit are really getting out of hand...

That is fake. The K.K. voice is louder on the site than the other song.

Your site.Smash ojo!!'sCompare. You can hear that not only is the one on the site has K.K.'s voice louder, but it also has echo. Hear for yourself.

Plus, none of these sound like how the song would actually transition at all. They just sound like fan-made edits meant to sound like the extended song, some more well done than others.
The most blatant one is Menu 1. Listen to the original and note how it tapers off into a completely different tune at the end. The "extended" version doesn't even acknowledge that, and in fact cuts it off and repeats the first part of the tune over again. I have immense trouble believing these are official, especially since why did it take this long for everyone to notice that ripping the songs from the site resulted in extended tunes? IGN's been providing mp3's of the short clips, how come they didn't notice the extended tunes first?
I'm pretty close to positive that this is just a clever hoax. Your friend didn't claim to rip them himself, right? So he's not dishonest at all, he just got fooled like the rest of us.
EDIT: Another discrepancy. The original of Meta Knight's Revenge transitions into the second Halberd theme... this version doesn't, at least not when it's supposed to. It just plays the first theme twice (the second time is 100% identical to the first, by the way, once again indicating an edit) before fading off at the exact same point at the original. That doesn't exactly scream "official extension" to me.

Yeah, and on top of all the stuff thores listed, the Ocarina Medley is actually shorter than the clip on the site.
Still nice, though, even for fan-made extensions.

Alright, alright. You guys think it's fake, I can see what you're talking about. But it's still cool

Yeah, they are cool, but they don't seem like leaks. I.E. The Yoshi theme just repeats, and Ashely added the Japanese song as well.
