"X: Tunnel Scene" (1:00) Click here to listen. Composition Supervisor: Kazumi Totaka Arrangement Supervisor: Yusuke Takahama• The copyright for this music is held by Nintendo. • Check your volume settings. My song choices for this game were made very carefully after surveying song popularity, using opinions submitted to the Smash Bros. website and listening to the songs themselves.
But there are also some songs I added based entirely on my own whims. This one song is from a Japan-only Game Boy game called X. If a song is good, that’s enough for me.
Of course, there is no X stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but this time, the songs in Smash Bros. aren’t limited only to those series represented by characters and stages. We’ve taken some that are from completely unrelated games.
Can you expect to hear this song or that song? You’ll just have to wait and see.

This is butt-kicking good! I've played this game before. It's the second 3D Game Boy title that was developed by the creators of the first Star Fox title.

I never heard of this game before until I read the thread in the Cameos/Easter Eggs Board yesterday I expected they arranged music from games not represented by stages or characters, but still I'm glad this sorta confirms it. Can't wait to hear a Punch-Out one etc. My money's on this one being selectable for that Starfox stage

This is insanely coincidental, if not COSMIC.
Did 1-UP.com know something when I downloaded their podcast and learned of this game yesterday?

Woo, thanks for that. Was trying to find it myself, but google can't find shit. I guess it is hard when the game's name is just one letter. This arrangement is pretty damn rad, definitely one of my favorites already

I just don't know what to say...
This sets great chances for music from games like Famicom Detective, Shin Oni ga Shima, Punch-Out or Kaeru no Tameni Kane ha Naru to be in the game, even when they are small titles. One of these amazing updates which makes us to think about it.

Nice music, I'm happy that there will be music from games not represented in Smash Bros. Like others here it does feel a little bit odd, truly learning about this game only so recently thanks to that Super FX chip documentry video. This is butt-kicking good! I've played this game before. MIDI Maze). It was released a year earlier in North America.

This tune is great, and the text that accompanies the update also makes me hopeful. I've had my Japanese "Aosame Castle" in mind as a stage for a while, and a few days ago I thought: why would it only have the limited Nazo no Murasamejou music? What about the Famicom Folk Tales, and other peculiarly Japanese songs. This makes me happiness

I've never played this game... But I've definately heard this song before somewhere. Hmm...
EDIT: Ah, it's on one of the Japanese Club Nintendo CDs. Great song, anyway. I've been wondering if Sakurai would have music from unrepresented games like this play on the Ice Climber and Kid Icarus stages, since neither of them really have enough music to make that many songs out of.

Pit's stage might also include a song or two from the Game Boy Kid Icarus.

Well, it uses the GB Kid Icarus logo! Maybe we will have some US-only stuff in there after all ;D
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of music crossover. We've already theorised that any Mario music will probably play on any Mario stage, but maybe some tunes will also play on other stages where they could work well. A bit like how the Mach Rider song played on the Big Blue stage in Melee, or the Balloon Fight theme on Icicle Mountain, or even Fire Emblem on the Temple.
This X theme could work in a Star Fox stage, for example.
Still strange to see. I always considered X to be one of the most obscure games on NinDB. I'm guessing it actually had quite a fanbase to get a Smash song. Or maybe we're looking at a hell of a lot more music than I originally thought ;D

Aha, this clinches it!
Dr. Mario does not need to be playable again for the game to feature Dr. Mario music.
Later, Doc!
