Too bad he'll be known as 'that useless star AT' though.. Damn! You beat me to it. I don't really much care for this update, but I guess I'm happy for those people who wanted him in.

It's funny how he keeps that same dopey expression on him at all times...
This is a pretty cool assist though. He seems to be the equivalent of Mew/Celebi, though he attacks...

It's cool that Stafy got into Brawl. I'm not surprised that he isn't playable; I know I'd have a hard time getting used to controlling a starfish.

I was thinking about the argument in the Japan-only topic about Starfi. But, it makes me think that Takamaru is getting in. With so few Japanese only characters left, Takamaru is the only one who sticks out. He did get a 3 on the poll and Sakurai takes interest in him. Maybe he'll make it, maybe. EDIT:Post was not meant to gloat. Will say that I like his design. And now that I think of it, the Assist trophies all look really nice. Not as good as the playable characters, but close. Better then the Pokemon.

Stafy was made to attack that way, because Sakurai didn't want to overpack the Wii discs. Same reason why he made Excitebike, Spiny, Lakitu and the Nintendo Wars combat vehicles in sprite format. Even though, Stafy was made in 3D, his design is so simple, he doesn't take up a lot more space that the sprite Assist Trophies.

I mean, he's a star with a face. Also, you don't use commas before "because".

As I read again the update, it seems that Sakurai doesn't like the character at all. Maybe he's afraid that he could stole the cute spotlight from Kirby...

Starfy's design was never complex to begin with. I mean, he's a star with a face. That's exactly what parrothead said. Also, you don't use commas before "because". Not usually, but you can. You're hardly a perfect grammar student yourself, Smash.

Don't be afraid of using the official spelling... It was already Stafy in American games. Same reason why he made Excitebike, Spiny, Lakitu and the Nintendo Wars combat vehicles in sprite format. I believe what Fryguy64 said once about why those sprite Assist Trophies are that way (that it's probably because of the amount of simultaneous objects on stage). That would be unrelated to disc storage. This makes me think that the Pikmin should be part of a playable Olimar's moves instead of an Assist Trophy.

Well, I was saying that his design was never complex to begin with, so it's no surprise his design in Brawl is simple. This is what I've learned it to be: Coordinating conjunctions are the only words that will always have commas before them. Coordinating adverbs will too, but be fallowed by a semi-colon. Because is a work that is a dependent word (it starts a dependent clause). Since dependent clauses don't get comman, bacuase should never have a comma in front of it. If there is another rules I don't know of, I'd like to hear it. But your right; I'n no grammer masta.

Since dependent clauses don't get comman, bacuase should never have a comma in front of it. You just broke your own rule.
