Sounds to me like Wild TRax, which in turn means there was going to be a Stunt Race FX song in the game. X(
Could be "Sonic You Can Do Anything" from the JP Sonic CD soundtrack, which I hate compared to Sonic Boom.
It also looks like there was going to be a unique victory theme for every character. This news sucks.

Yeah, the Sonic one is an older song. Check out the link to FFShrine. What really gets me mad is "Mushroom Forest" got cut. It sounds like "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" from Mario RPG, one of the best songs in video game history. Its the Mario song with the Japanese name, BTW. I guess the songs may be lurking in the coding somewhere, BTW. Some dude on FFShrine talks about how it might be possible to rip them out the coding. And, other than the victory jingles, they might be on the 2nd layer. Woudln't get my hopes up tho.

Wild Tracks is Wild Trax or Stunt Race FX. And a possible SMRPG track? Sounds intreging.

I just Mewtwo and Roy are listed as having victory songs. Mewtwo almost got in! Wizzle! Don't care about Roy tho.

the unique victory themes would've been great. I got my hopes up for that when I heard Metaknight's awesome metal victory theme. :<

Take something like The Legend of Zelda. The play mechanics are worked out to be solid and enjoyable. I can imagine dungeon questing in Zelda, fighting enemies and giant bosses and solving those puzzles... I can imagine an enjoyable game coming from that alone. The fact Zelda also gives us a great (if somewhat confusing) storyline, it has become one of the most loved series ever. It caters to people who prefer gameplay and storylines. Super Paper Mario catered to the typical storyline crowd. Strip away the story and all that is left is a confusing mess of functions that make you question why any of them are there. And the best play mechanic? The 2D/3D switch? Not used to its full potential - in fact it was barely used at all. Super Paper Mario was a badly made game. I'm glad some of you were still able to enjoy it, but you probably rate storylines higher than gameplay. I rate gameplay much higher than storylines, because I grew up with Nintendo games. Mario runs around and jumps on things, Link runs around solving puzzles and chopping things, Samus runs around shooting things... the gameplay is solid, and the storylines are bonus material. Lose the gameplay, you lose the game. And that is why Super Paper Mario makes me sad - it is not a "Nintendo" game. OK, there is a problem. Your the one who says the gameplay was broken, yet many critics still rated it well. Were the game play broken, wouldn't the scores have been relatively low? I think those are harsh words to make. It's not a Nintendo game. It's not like saying, "I didn't like how the game played", but you said "This game is horrible, and that is FACT". I think we've jumped from opinion. Hard to say that a game is broken when many others still played it, loved it, and told their friends (or readers). But it also begs the question what was wrong about it. I looked though your list and didn't see what was wrong with the gameplay specifically. Is the gameplay it's self broken, or is it more about the little things (i.e. Backtracking). Sorry to get worked up, but your opinion seems less like an opinion and more like a gospel. I don't think it's fair to say "It's not a Nintendo game" (also, it's the context of the phrase). It is an opinion, but one must be wary not to let their opinions become perceived facts. Also, sorry for the old. The comment just got me.

What Smashchu is saying is the same things I tend to feel: Saying you don't like something is one thing. That's fine. But when you say that something is bad, you're stating it as though it's an indisputable fact, which is something else entirely. People don't always realize they cross this line when writing how they feel about something. But when someone who feels differently from you reads you stating something they don't agree with as a fact, that will tend to get them much more upset than if you're just expressing your opinion as an opinion.

And every character even had a unique victory theme? DAAMMMIT SAKURAI. ;_; Wrong. Meta is the only one with a unique theme. All other characters just follow the series.

What I'd like to know is why they had to cut all this stuff even though they kept delaying the game anyway, especially if it was all in there in some form at some point.
You think they had to sacrifice it for the online?

You think they had to sacrifice it for the online? My answer: Look at how big this game already is! Something had to be cut, sadly. Yoshi Cookies will be missed.
