Actually, there was a pretty epic thread on /v/ that was saying the last Mario game should be Mario having to fight the evil Luigi. I'm pretty sure that game already happened.Yeah, but I'm thinking more like Luigi himself becomes evil and not just brainwashed.

I think Neglected Mario Characters beat you guys to that idea years ago.

Naked(Big Boss)- Big Bosses's normal sneaking suit from MGS3:SE.
Red Ike and Marth seem to be based on red units.(You know they move during enemy phase...)

I can't believe I didn't look that up. Are his snowy or third costumes based on anything? I've heard Red Ike & Marth could be based on those. No way to prove it though. EDIT: Wait... Which one are you referring to? The grassy costume is the Moss Camo you get from The End, isn't it? IT doesn't seem to synch up with his normal camo. Is it some other suit from the game?

Naked Snake is the leopard skin looking one.
Also isn't one of Lucas's or Ness's a DCMC shirt?

I have some stupid ideas... The gray/white Bowser may refer to Dry Bowser, a boss in New Super Mario Bros. and a racer in Mario Kart Wii... but I'm not sure cause the dry bowser has a red shell, and the one in Brawl has a white. The "dead one" doesn't have golden details too, like the Brawl alt costume. Anyways, www.mariowiki.com/Dry_BowserThe shiny Jigglypuff with a hat may reffers to Yellow, a character in the Pokémon Manga ( but she never appears in a videogame ) www.serebii.net/manga/characters/yellow.shtmlI don't know, but the dark blue sonic reminds me Shadow The Hedhehog... the red and green ones are only for the Team Battle collors, but the golden in a reference to the rings and the black one... Sakurai could not put the black one, cause some chars, like Pikachu, have only 3 colors for the Team Battle. Zelda, Sheik and Ganondorf have a costume with black clothes and white hair... It's the colors of Dark Link/Toon Link! "Dark Zelda" or "Dark Ganondorf" never appeared in the series, anyways. Meta Knight and Dedede have pink gay costumesm, it sounds me "kirby"... The purple and red Lucario reminds me Mew2... ... not yet, not yet! And the white one? What is it meaning? And I don't know why sakurai doesn't put the shiny Lucario... www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/448.shtmlsome other colors aren't from games, like the white robes of Ice Climbers ( reminds real eskimos ), the "light warrior" meta knight ( the second form ), "golden and fallen angel" colors of pit, Yeti DK, and others. Some are only for complete the colors of Team Battles: red, green and blue. oh, and sorry for this terrible english. I'm brazilian.

We call Black and White Zelda "Zelda Malfoy" and Black and White Ganondorf "Old Manondorf"

Thanks, loghrus. I've covered most of those in this thread before. Others, such as Dedede and Meta Knight's are stretches. This is yet another reference to Yellow's straw hat. I suppose it could be one. She is a Pokemon, after all, so it would make sense for one of her alts to come from a trainer. Did Yellow have a Jigglypuff anywhere in the manga? Sonic's darker costume reminds me of Shadow as well, but not enough to put it. The rings are already covered in the OP. Bowser's white costume seems to be Morton, one of his children from Mario 3 (I don't know if they called him that in Brazil ). That's where the gold comes from. As far as I can tell, none of Lucario's costumes mean anything. The white one seems like it's referencing something though. I don't know why Sakurai left out Shiny Lucario and Charizard either. Hell, he even put in Shiny Jigglypuff this time! Your English is fine, by the way! One I noticed: In the original Ice Climber, Nana's parka is a deeper magenta. Nana's red costume seems to reflect this. Coincidence?
