So I'm shooting to question to y'all.
What modes and features would you guys like to see in another Smash Brothers game. Or, are there any in now that you would take out. I have some....
-Add Critical Hits. They work wonders for TF2 so I don't doubt they would be awesome for Brawl. Even have a character that is really weak but has an amazing crit rate (thinking Tingle) -Squads. Like Soul Caliber, you play as a team of two, three or four different characters and switch out every time you die -Single player Tournaments. You move on though numerous themed tournaments.

What would I want in a new Smash Bros?
Isaac.
Also, less Mario stages. We already have too many goddamn Mario stages.
On a serious note (not that I wasn't serious above) I would like there to be a better distance to damage ratio. With Brawl, it seems like the matches go on forever, until somebody gets a powerful item or assist trophy.

I would like a reasonable release date Also, Takamaru, Isaac, Jill and Drill Dozer and Sukapon should all be given playable slots. Lucario should lose his. And either at least 2 more third party characters, or none at all. 2 is such a shameless marketing ploy. Oh yeah, and remake the old N64 stages

List to make Smash Bros better: - Add Megaman
Okay that's not the only thing but he's a huge + for me. Other features: - The squad thing like Smashchu said. Kinda hoped it would be in Brawl back then. Few more modes would be neato, like capture the flag or 3 versus 1 huge and/or overpowered player. - They should get rid of adventure mode and it's CGI movies and focus on the multiplayer aspect of the game, like they did with Melee. Less time designing singleplayer levels = more time making multiplayer stages and more multiplayer levels make a pure multiplayer game like Smash last longer. Multiplayer. - Stage Builder having no or bigger block limit. Ability to rotate blocks like spikes would be neat too, instead of just pointing upwards. And themed level textures is what I most long for, like 8bit Mushroom Kingdom etc. - Expand on everything else, which is pretty natural for a sequel anyway.

I agree, a more expanded Level-Editor. And maiby even a character creator!
It could work like this: If there would be a new Adventure mode, instead of focusing on the different characters, the game focuses on "your" character, and instead of finding stickers, you find different parts and pieces of clothes for your character, and maiby even skills and abilities from other characters. That way, people could try and create their favourite characters!
Oh, and more characters, and no one shall be removed, and no clones. Unless to familiar to eachother. Which means that clone characters would chare a slot, like this: Fox-Falco-Wolf, Mario-Luigi-Dr.Mario, Link-ToonLink etc etc.
More Third part characters and Japanese only characters like Takamaru, Skapon, Demille, etc etc. and characters like Megaman, and maiby even Simon Belmont (Imagine having Pit, Simon, Megaman and Samus in a fight... erhum, Captain-N, cough cough)...
Oh, and more new and unique stages, aswell as all the old ones like the 64 ones and Melee ones...

Actually, I was trying to have this thread not focus on characters since I beleive we talked that to death (and I was going to make another topic on that after the PAL launch). rukifellth: I had an idea for a create-a-character in Smash. It will be Miis. I'll post more in the create a character topic.

Story mode: get rid of the overworld map and make the game one fluid world (maplestory like) incorporating main plot points and lots of spaghetti side quests. Keys should be collectible like in every other game rather than picking up the key and carrying it (I haven't seen that since like Atari's Adventure or whatever that game was called.) More puzzles and NPCs. Dialog boxes like in older games. More sub bosses and main bosses.

Great idea Spud!
I would like them to have a different control scheme for characters though in Adventure mode, so it seems more like a side scroller than a fighter.
For instance, jumps shouldn't be so floaty and, you know, stuff like that.
And no original enemies.

It could work like this: If there would be a new Adventure mode, instead of focusing on the different characters, the game focuses on "your" character Or maybe, if the space on the next Nintendo console allows it, they could make both one-character focus and multi-character focus adventure modes. I seriously think that multi-focus adventures are leagues better. Playing it that way actually helps you get a feel for all the characters. Focusing on one character only gets you used to that one character. Lucario shouldn't lose his spot. I can't see why, he was pretty good and a reasonable choice for a newcomer! Some ideas of my own: - Make Luigi a Starter I can't see why not. I loved him in all the games, but having to unlock him got in the way. I'm pretty sure he's important enough. - Krystal BEFORE YOU YELL AT ME: She actually has a lot of potential IMO. She could use her staff for standard moves and use some of the staff's magic functions for the B moves. If they base her off Assault/Command instead, they could give her some fresh moves like with Fox, Falco and Wolf. Maybe some Karate moves. - Bring Peach's Castle Back! Peach's Castle is pretty prominent to the Mario series, and kind of represents Mario 64. I was surprised to see it gone. They could maybe base it off SMG and have that little village visable from across the lake and NO STATIC WATERFALLS! - Mario Galaxy Stage I could go on forever here. Perhaps they could make a stage for the Comet Observatory of Good Egg Galaxy. Maybe even Space Junk Galaxy. - Better Sticker Gallery Organization This isn't a big one, but the fact that the stickers weren't divided into each series slightly bugged me. But I liked how you saw them out of a book, maybe seperate pages for each series?

-Squads. Like Soul Caliber, you play as a team of two, three or four different characters and switch out every time you die -Single player Tournaments. You move on though numerous themed tournaments. Other than that... Make the online much more like Mario Kart Wii's. Also keep every character who is in Brawl and add Mewtwo back. People say they hate clones, but the clones in Brawl are mostly popular characters who make sense as clones, and none of them are as cloney as Dr. Mario. The only exception is Ganondorf, but we are pretty much stuck with him now. Falco and Wolf make sense as clones of Fox, and would YOU dump both for Krystal when we can have all four characters in the next game? Lucas makes sense as a clone of Ness. Toon Link makes sense as a clone of Link. Even Luigi made sense as a clone of Mario, but he's now about as much of a clone as Lucario is to Mewtwo or Ike is to Marth. Five clones out of 35 characters and 39 movesets is very reasonable. We've might've gained 2 new clones, but we lost the 3 most unpopular clones. Could you imagine the complaints on if Falco or Ganondorf were cut? Just look at the complaints about Mewtwo being cut!

As long as she doesn't shout something jump off screen and return as a landmaster at this point Starfox could use some variation, and she's kinda next in line too. (then we get Peppy)

Other than that... Make the online much more like Mario Kart Wii's. YES. Brawl Channel FTW. I'd go the extra mile and add Roy as well. He was quite popular, and would be fine if there aren't many FE characters. I'm also with Roy that we really don't need to remove characters. Their there. They work. Lets leave them. Also, are far as characters go Issac (love GS) Krystal (female, variety, and she seems like she'd balance the roster well) and Andy(good potential and I think AW deserves it).

Can't Nintendo/Sakurai do anything besides the landmaster thing? How about Falco jumps into his Arwing, fly off the stage, and you could aim and shoot (rapid fire, to differentiate from Dragoon), then swoop down on the stage, wipeing out everyone in his way! ;D More cameo enemies in SSE How about keep the Primids and get rid of the rest of the originals, then add more enemies from LoZ, Metroid, Yoshi's Island, StarFox (mainly Adventures), etc. and maybe some Third Party enemies. Levels from Nintendo games in SSE They should probably have the SSE take place in the worlds of Nintendo, with different series' enemies appearing in their respective stages. The Primids could be a common baddie appearing on every stage.

I think a Royal Rumble type mode would be awesome. In this mode, you and up to 3 more friends pick a character (but no overlapping) and are randomly seeded (1 through however many characters there are) and the first four start fighting. When someone is eliminated, the next character comes in. The goal is to be the last man standing.

But I think he could do that Adventures thing where he comes in makes some snide remark and then bombs the place, that would be awesome! What should be in the next Smash Bros. Isaac yes, but if we aren't talking about characters then we need better online modes (by way of channel already mentioned) and removal of tripping and stickers.
