I think I mentioned in an earlier post how LOG (Lord of Games) mentioned Mario in a conversation. It went like this: LOG: "Very well then, failures, listen carefully." Kazooie: "Failures? We've been in several games already!" LOG: "But no where near as many as that Italian gentleman, correct?" As far as I can tell, that's a compliment to Mario. This video makes my lack of a 360 all the more annoying. As if Half-Life 2 and the Orange Box didn't already.
I'll also say I wish Nintendo would let Rare put their games on the VC. It's missing out on a golden opportunity.

Microsoft owns Rare now so no Rare VC stuff for us. Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are being re-released on the 360 aswell.

Yeah, I know about both. That hasn't stopped them from making games for Nintendo consoles though. THQ has published several of their games, and they were the ones that remade the DKC games for the GBA, so neither M$ or Nintendo have a problem with them on hand helds. I guess it's just BK's continued console appearences that keep them out of the VC.

Microsoft doesn't have handhelds so no big deal there, but obviously Rare will release their software on Microsoft's handheld the moment it appears, if ever. Though thinking about it, just like with Nintendo refusing to release Bionic Commando on VC they'd probably give BK the finger even if they were allowed to release it by Microsoft. |

kirbychu,how am I being stupid Mario is the best :Pif you like to see his 8-bit head blown off with a missile,you should consider yourself stupid  This is why your comments are stupid: You have no right to be over-protective of a fictional character created and owned by somebody else - especially one with such a high profile as Mario. Rare created the Mario sprite and blew it up in the spirit of parody. I don't know if it's actually in the final game, or whether they lovingly created the sprite from in-game elements and just knocked it down as part of the demo. Was it a little nod to them having once worked with Nintendo? Was it a little nod to how the Banjo-Kazooie games have ripped off Super Mario 64 wholesale? Was it just them playing around? Does it matter? No, it doesn't. Any backlash to this is retarded. Rare inserted a Mario cameo into a demo for one of their games. That's cool! Free advertising on a competitor console! Why is that a problem? Are you REALLY concerned that by blowing up the figure of Mario, people will suddenly be brainwashed into thinking "YEAH! Blow up Mario! Mario sucks!!"? |

Did you not think it was weird in a forum FULL of people who love the Mario games that you were the only person who was upset by this?
