Is that Banjoland, TEi? That's the only stage I've actually played. The music was fantastic in there. ;D

Yes, it is indeed Banjoland ;D I luuuuurve that stage. I mean, they brought back fucking Clanker! Clanker was the shit!
Also, Jolly Dodger has gone from being my least favorite BK character ever (because he was just a bad gay stereotype in BT) to being incredibly fucking hot, especially in the Logbox 720 levels. Yes, I have a thing for punk neo-hackers. >_> Shush.
And worth noting that I forgot about before: there's an achievement in the game called "Super Banjo Universe." I forget what the requirements are to get it, but the reference is pretty obvious.

Open one of the worlds. Think its the fifth one. Its totally not a Nintendo cameo but there's tons of Viva Pinata references in there, too. And Grabbed by the Ghoulies. And Its Mr Pants.

Noticed a couple more non Nintendo video game references in the Achievements list: Massive Damage, where you must "take down the 10 legs for massive damage", and Speed of the Colossus, where you must "build a vehicle of at least 200 blocks and make it go a certain speed".
Game is addictive as fuck. Game of the year perhaps? Game of the month at least.

If Jolly is still gay, it's more acceptable now than before - but I actually haven't found any hints suggesting that he is, aside from aforementioned belly shirt. His voice-mumblies have completely changed (previously, they sounded like a gay man lisping and moaning), and his entire gimmick is different. Instead of being a pirate of questionable sexuality, he's a shady black-market Jiggy salesman and his new name is Jolly Dodger. He cameos in the Logbox 720 level as a "punk new-age hacker," providing Jiggy missions as I mentioned before, and if he has any gay left in him, I would totally shag that variation of the character because he looks fucking hot.
When I have the time, I'll sit down and go into more detail with the Banjoland level, but I found another direct reference to Nintendo in the section based on Glitter Gulch Mines from Banjo-Tooie: according to the information stand, the race with Mary Canary from GGM was initially going to have joystick-based controls, but at the last minute Rare had to change it to button-based controls because joystick controls were destroying peoples' palms.
Something to that effect, anyway, but the reference to Mario Party and it's palm-shredding joystick minigames is made pretty thinly veiled.
And in that previous post where I mentioned the race thing, I was talking about Diddy Kong Racing. In case, you know, nobody got it. Because yeah.

Not being able to read the text, both his eyes were gone before I could figure it out. >_> And yes, I'm still playing the demo.

In the mission with Clanker you have to protect his eyes from the gruntbots. I'm not sure how long for / how many you had to kill, as the mission kind of just ended at some random point for me.

Interestingly enough, they actually reference Diddy Kong Racing by name near the end of the game.
Along with that of course is the five year old Donkey Kong Country reference on...well every Ghoulies box.
Of course the non-Nintendo related refrences and cameos outweigh these ones. Heck, the Terrarium of Terror looked to be devoid of any references at all, until Rare themselves point out that the junk littered around the level is ULTIMATE junk with spaceships and robots and the like.
