The OST came out last week. That's where we got all the official art from, actually. I see. I was surprised because in an act of boredom I just typed 'ost' into youtube's search bar and Megaman 9 of all things came out on top. Oh, it's not biggie. A LOT of people thought it was a broken street date deal. Btw, Protoman's theme IS in the game

I can see why one would say that, but they don't look that similar to me, They have similar eyes and heads, but that's about it.

It's as close to a world release as they can get since different countries get Wiiware at different times. It's the same week, and that's what counts.

IGN's review is up, and they love it. Apparently all versions of the game will have a list of 50 achievements. The Wii version is coming out first this Monday, followed by the PS3 and 360 verisions. According to GoNintendo, Protoman will be available as DLC on October 6 for 200 WP. Glad I saved my 1800 points!

I just don't want to buy too many games on the NA Wii. My JPN Wii is linked to my Club Nintendo account too, so there are slight benefits. I guess I can wait 30 hours or so for the jpn release.

I have it, but I don't think anyone needs my recommendation. It's as much a nostalgia trip as New Super Mario Bros. and Contra 4. It's a little weird that it's in the style of an 8-bit game, yet it takes place after Mega Man 8. And one of the characters says something like "Be careful Mega Man, you haven't done this in a while." Also, check out Chun Li as the news reporter in the intro.

This just in: Mega Man 9 is awesome. The levels are fantasticly designed, and have stuff that couldn't be pulled off on the NES (Jewel Man's swings, Tornado Man's magnents). The bosses are very well designed and are more fair than most MM bosses I've fought (And I've beaten MM 1-8.). One Robot Master left to go, and that is Splash Woman. Concrete Man and Galaxy Man are my favorites so far.
EDIT WITH POST GAME THOUGHTS:
Yup, I've beaten it. It's actually quite an easy game compared to some of them. The levels are well designed, the bosses are fun, and there are a crapload of extras to strive for. Some of the challenges don't seem possible!
Wily's Fortress is awesome. The 2nd and 3rd Fortress Bosses are among the best in the series. This two are worthy succosers to the Mecha Dragon and the Gutsdozer. The 2nd Fortress boss is three screens long!
Wily's first machine is a sight to behold. The fight is well thought out as well. The second machine is cheap though.
Lastly, the story is actually somewhat good this time. Not to spoil to much of it, but we find out that robots are deactivated after a certain amount of time. A rather dark concept for a Mega Man game.
Funny error: After you beat the eight robot master, you collect a CPU. Auto comments that it will allow you to "See what he saw!". The eight robot master i beat was Splash Women.

Yeah I'm really loving this game so far. One of those games where I stop playing after dieing numerous times, only to give it another go a few hours later. Main reason it's a tad more difficult is because they pull off Wily level stuff at the normal Robot Master levels, like inconveniently placed spikes when falling down a screen. I also dig the 8bit graphics and music, but that's just me.
Right now I'm stuck at the first Wily Fortress level with those lava streams. That's some Quickman shit right there.
