Hey, at least your items work. All these little and big hearts I keep finding from monsters I'm defeated do absolutely nothing to restore my health, even though I'm lost my half my health from the previous monsters attacking me. Hm... Have you tried Wall Meat? It's like normal meat! In a wall! I was referencing hearts item pick ups/powerups from Kid Icarus, that are used for money instead of health. (You have a wine/potion/magic liquid glass for restoring health, I can't remember what it is called though).

A Chalice, if my memory's not mistaken.

That threw me off at first, too. The hearts being used for money instead of health. Right, back to Mega Man again, I suppose... For some reason, I know all of the Mega Man robot masters by heart, even their level music. Anyone else, too? Meh, knowing all the Robot Masters may not be too much of a surprise, but it depends if it's done by looking a list of them first or just knowing them all off the top of your head. They started getting more "complex" (theme-wise, if you know what I mean) from 7. Or was it 6? Their level music, on the other hand...

Mega Man's eight-bit, NES face makes me compare it to Mr. Turtle's face in the old Tootsie Pop commercial.

You mean, Mega Man looks like Mr. Turtle? Er Parrot, you mind if I as this? OK, was English your first language? It doesn't sound like it.

You know, whenever I play any of the NES Mega Man games, I'm always reminded of that other NES game Contra.
To be precise, it's the third one that gives me such a similar feel as that game. In terms of music, at least.
Jumping and shooting? Maybe so...

Sept 22nd is the going release date. We may get it in the States before Japan as well.
Btw, apparently they are adding in a Roll costume (confirmed), Rock costume (confirmed), Protoman costume (unconfirmed), and Mega Man Star Force costume (unconfirmed).
The going talk is that the Roll costume is just that: a costume. The Rock costume is basically a helmetless Mega Man. However, Protoman is unlockable a la Luigi in Galaxy as an alternate Mega Man with a different playstyle. He has slippery controls and different jumping, and maybe some other differences. The Star Force costume, which is just a costume and nothing more, may be Japan only if it's legitimate.
As far as other little rumors go, the soundtrack confirms an "Endless Maze" stage as well as a bonus stage. So people are thinking there's a LOT of stuff to do after beating the game. No word on Bass, X, or anything else Mega Man in the game at all yet. HOWEVER, I should also say now that Capcom IS considering doing "reward-based" DLC rather than paid DLC. So basically the Wii version WILL have Achievements, sorta, that net you actual rewards. The Charge and Slide are unlockable, btw, and probably not DLC.
Uh... one other thing is that the PS3 and 360 versions are watered down copies of the Wii edition. Believe it or not, Wii was the original system of choice and PS3 and 360 were afterthoughts. The achievements that were listed for the XBOX version were developed at Capcom America as the game may end up being Wii exclusive in Japan.

Another postive for the Wii version I'm heard is that it has the best control scheme as the Wii Remotes D-Pad works better than the PS3 or 360 versions.

I'm really liking the new Robot Masters. I can't wait. All I need now are a few Wii points cards, then I'm all set.

Check out the official press kit that includes a NES cartridge that's actually a CD case!!! SO COOL!!! They may make a very limited number of them available through the Capcom store.

Warning spoilers I guessThe OST came out last week. That's where we got all the official art from, actually. On a different note, FUCK Nintendo not having a hard drive or some storage solution. I am, yet again, having to delete channels this upcoming Monday...
