Y'know I was just using Daisy as an example. I'm wasn't saying people would want Daisy in, I was just saying people would want another Mario character in.

I agree with Tei's view actually with the exception of one thing that I do beleive Lucario will stay. There is really nothing to say why he'd be removed. He was a popular choice between pokemon fans and probably the Japanese. Also, the only characters Sakurai truly was planning to to bring back were Dr. Mario (who everyone expected to be kicked) and Pichu (don't need to explain this one). He planned to bring Mewtwo and Roy so is goal was to keep almost all the characters. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone came back.
Some other thing........ On Warioware, I'm curious on Ashely. It may be the magic think struck me as "oh, that would be cool". I know none of the Warioware guys really stand out here in the west but word is she is popular in Japan (probably why her song was on the Dojo). I hope to be able to ask the image boards in Japan with the help of a Japanese speaking friend.
Also, I heard that Sakurai mentioned he liked Captain Rainbow. I wasn't able to get a source from the guy (was from 7chan so I lost the thread). So, maybe he'll add Captain Rainbow. Let's hope.

One thing that the SSB series needs is some more representation of games for the original Game Boy. Why? Because the Game Boy was perhaps Gunpei Yokoi's best known work. Also, the original Game Boy outsold every other non-Nintendo handheld.

Ever notice how little love Nintendo gives their franchises and games from those eras?

The only worthy Game Boy character I can think of is Muddy Mole, the star of Mole Mania. That game is really good! I think a DS sequel would be awesome. Muddy's FS would be called the "Flash of Sundes" where Muddy digs underground as the sun boss from world 2 appears from the sky and goes supernova on everyone, inflicting massive damage. That'd be so cool. A fan can only dream.
I know my ideas always sound lame and stupid but... I'd like to see a Smash game with nothing but Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Wario characters. You would have 26 characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, Bowser, Bowser Jr / Shadow Mario, Petey Piranha, King Boo, Yoshi, Birdo, Baby Bros., Kamek, Wario, Waluigi, Classic Wario, Captain Syrup, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, King K. Rool, Dr. Mario, Paper Mario, Mallow, and Geno. A good mix of popular and obscure characters. No clones, only originals and semi-clones. Even Dr. Mario is decloned.
It would have lots of stages such as:
Yoshi Storybook - picture it as a pop-up book given the Pokemon Stadium treatment which it changes with each turn of a page.
Wario's Woods - it takes place inside a hollow tree with a Thwomp hanging from the ceiling.
Audience - it takes place on the stage in front of paper-thin crowd cheering the brawlers on and throwing items at the brawlers.
Easton Kingdom - its like Spear Pillar only it takes place in Easton Kingdom surrounded by moai statues; Hiyoihoi throws rocks from the background and Tatanga shoots beams at the stage.
The adventure mode would involve something like Bowser stealing the Star Rod and transforming into Giga Bowser so Mario & Co. would need to find the Star Spirits scattered all over the Mushroom Kingdom in a cross between Paper Mario and The Subspace Emissary. It should have over 30 stages that spans 8 chapters.
I even came up with Assist Trophies for that kind of Smash game... only they would be called Helper Orbs (kinda like in Mario Party games). Besides the returning Hammer Bro, Lakitu & Spinies, and Kat & Ana, I came up with these:
Super Koopas - these Koopas fly with capes from the background and dive-bomb at the characters.
Ashley - the witch's boiling cauldron sucks the characters and items in and she cooks the brew and then the cauldron launches them out with new items.
Mad Scienstein - he returns from Wario Land 3 and throws potions that turns characters invisible.
Bullet Bill - it works like the Dragoon in Brawl, though this is a rare Helper Orb so that should balance out its cheapness.
Stanley - he uses his bug spray to rapidly shoot the characters all the way up to be KO'd.
Either a SSB4 or a Mario All-Star Brawl game (that means no "Mario vs. Sonic") would be so good. Again, a fan can only dream.

I agree, because Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Pokemon Trainer and Wario, plus classic Tetris music being the best songs in the game aren't nearly enough Game Boy rep...

The Game Boy has rep in the game, but those that you listed are more "general" Nintendo than anything specifically Game Boy. I mean, that's like saying Mario is the NES era rep. But Mario has been on so many consoles and in so many incarnations that's just silly. The same can be said for Tetris, Pokemon, and Wario.

Also add Kirby and King Dedede to the list.
I don't really understand why just because a series that started on handhelds has been successful and appeared on other systems, why they no longer are "representative" of the Game Boy. I've just listed 6 characters who started their lives on the original Game Boy.
Obviously, I'd LOVE to see Alice (Balloon Kid), Muddy (Mole Mania), Prince of Sabel (Kaeru no Tameni) or Hiro (Card Hero). But that's pretty much the entire pool of Game Boy exclusive characters to pick from.

Classic Game Boy games have not hit true "classic" status like the NES games have--at least, until we get VC GB games. Otherwise, they're forgotten and obscure to anybody under the age of 18. And as for SNES, I still see it as being largely neglected in comparison with the NES. It's a far better console with a lot of great games, but Nintendo just isn't giving it its time. Maybe when that generation gets a little older and we get all to be too old, things will change? Right now the 80s are still hot, but they won't be forever.

You think in another ten years the 90s will be the new 80s? I hope so. Then maybe DKC will finally get the respect it deserves.

And yet, nearly all the DK-related stuff in Brawl is from either Jungle Beat or Donkey Konga (plus the fact that the DK series is the only major franchise without an Assist Trophy in Brawl).

*COUGH HACK DIDDY KONG*
Paon stuff is in for trophies, that's the new DKC basically, Rare isn't good with DK as of late, they made a really stupid comment about K. Rool.
Yes we don't have a DKC stage. But uh, where the hell is the Konga stuff aside from DK's final smash? *if Sakurai didn't put in the peripheral it'd be a DK64 reference* Almost all the music is from Rare games and Paon games, I'm gonna say we have Diddy again because we're real lucky he's in. Diddy IS Donkey Kong.
Plus with K. Rool and Dixie not bosses, they could be playable sometime in the future, or have a better chance. But you'll all just ignore that and have high hopes for Little Mac and Ridley, right?
Edited out that nasty bit. I'm tired.
