^ I think this is Chibi Robo, but with Nintendo characters. Seriously. But does that make it worth it? Totally. Chibi-Robo? More like GiFTPiA.

Please come to America. PLEASE. I don't know if you are talking to parrothead or the game, but I think it should be emphasized for both. Parrothead, a small percentage even know what the hell "giftpia" is. Chibi Robo is a better choice of words.

I think it's a Skip game but with Nintendo characters from other games.
I win this topic!

That's just it. Skip is a highly talented videogame developer. Chibi-Robo sounded like such a lame idea on paper, and it was marketed pretty badly. If Edge magazine hadn't given it such a glowing review I might have never picked it up (who am I kidding, I picked up every Nintendo game back then!) But what sounds like a miniature Animal Crossing turns into a dark tale full of amazingly fleshed-out characters. I've never played Giftpia, but I would have liked the opportunity to play it in English after sampling Skip's talents with Chibi-Robo. And now we have Captain Rainbow. It looks like you have to help each obscure Nintendo character (like you helped each character in Chibi-Robo), and you're a superhero, providing plenty of opportunities for excellent gameplay and touching exposition. On top of that, it's jam-packed full of the characters we at NinDB love so dearly. I pray this gets at least a European release (which seems more likely than an American one). Then at the very least you guys can import

Holy cow, the game GiFTPiA is from 2003. That Mappo is in means that the character selection isn't even limited to classic charaters! Or maybe so new characters are only allowed to come from skip games (like Mappo does). This might also be interesting, translation of Birdo's lines in the second trailer (Little Mac), it hints at Mappo as well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuSFwqGbyaANot later than after I watched the second trailer, I'm wholly sure that I want this freaking game! ;D Can't wait for the next trailer!

Now that Cammie Dunaway confirmed there are no other big titles coming down the pipeline this year, people are going apehobo over Captain Rainbow on nearly every single gaming site and blog. THIS is the game to tide people over this holiday season. Definitely. I just worry that NOA won't want to bother introducing us to characters we "don't already know." They have had a tendency of avoiding such situations. EDIT: Also, I'm still laughing my ass off that this game is totally doing what Sakurai fudged up. I wonder if this will guarantee some more vintage characters in the next Smash, since Sakurai clearly enjoyed Chibi-Robo enough to include that in Brawl. Furthermore, he had already stated that Takamaru would have been included had the character been revived. Well, here we are, Mr. Sakurai. Get to work >

So you're saying Birdo should be playable in Super Smash Bros. Fourlee.

I pray this gets at least a European release (which seems more likely than an American one). Then at the very least you guys can import Considering that the Wii its not region Free as the DS, that wouldnt help this time , So I still want an American release (and to all of you going bonkers over characters that might apear here, I bet will only will be getting first party nintendo characters+Maybe some skip ones) P.D. Skip is formed for many of the developers that made Chrono Trigger...

Or that Cammie is wrong or doesn't know what Captain Rainbow is. EDIT:I check out Chibi Robo's release dates. It came out in Japan in late June and in the US early Febuary. So 1)This game probably wont come out in 08 and 2)this is why Nintendo hasn't talked about it.

GoNintendo has a release date: Ready? August 28 will be a day to remember for Japan fans. Hmm... a little bit more than a month seems like really short notice.

Seems there doing what they did with Wario. Hardcore games pop up out of no where while casual games are given a long time for uhh... What reason?
