I'd let Nook in just for the opportunity to have a "HAHAHAHAHA!" taunt! Evil sonovabitch!

Fishing Rod would make a good tether recovery. Swing that axe around! Shoot with your slingshot, and more. If your smart, you can give ANY character a moveset. The real question is, what deserves to get in. In my opinion Nook doesn't deserve to get in. He's not really the main character of the series, nor is he known for using those moves I mentioned above. Heck, K.K. Slider is more deserving, but he does even less than Nook. You'd be better off with a "Generic Animal Crossing person" that's what they did with Pokemon Trainer who is essentially YOU in the game the same way a Villager would be. I mean which seems more appropriate? Having Prof. Oak as a character or a Trainer? 'Cause that's the case with Nook and a Villager. Pokemon Trainer has a specific look (mutliple ones, but still, they're the same on my game as they are on yours) whereas Animal Crosser has none. Plus its just a background feature anyway, you're playing as Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard.

I thought this was a fun read. Imaginative as all hell. Too bad it will never happen >:/ Sakurai knows his fans, but he's not perfect.
EDIT: I might add something myself here or in my game ideas topic later on. Actually... maybe the game ideas topic. Because this isn't that bad a concept to toy around with.

That was a fun read. My favorite was Tom Nook, naturally. Though I did find it weird that Zelda and Pokemon get five characters while Mario get four. Why not Toad (from SMB2 and WW) as the 5th Mario character? Oh, well, it was a good read.

Anyway, some older characters were changed as well.... there are no more duplicate final smashes! Something I am extremely happy with! Dk's final smash is still sucky though... the only thing they changed was they added small icons above DK to tell you when to hit certain buttons. It doesn't make his final smash any better, but it makes it easier to use. Since Falco's FS was changed, couldn't you have changed DK's as well (DK riding Rambi for a set period of time is my idea).

He changed Falco's because it was an exact copy of Fox's, ya twit.

Heh, I'm a little late to this party...
But four characters added? Minor tweaks? Sounds like what would happen if Brawl became like Street Fighter II and it's bazillion rehashes.

I want Tom Nook in but I'm not begging at this point for Fourlee, AC got so much. They should give it a try though, I'd say look into the arguable mascot of the series in Totakeke a.k.a. K.K. Slider. Fight with music! Guitar Gazump a la Diddy and Barbara's AT.

Sakurai was the same man who came up with Kirby and most of it's characters, and yet you're claiming that an unnecessary replacement FS for DK his better than his entire creative spectrum!?
Lord, and I thought you were barely credible beforehand....

Also, Toon Link. NO. Well, at least they didn't call him "Celda".

Toon Link is a fine name because "toon shading" was another name for "cel-shading" in official text from Nintendo. Don't revive threads this old with these unrelated comments . The names of the characters weren't the point of koopaul in that post.
