But "Toon Link" has a totally different meaning. It doesn't come from the character's name at all, rather what they look like. Then why haven't you been bitching about Young Link, or Zero Suit Samus? So, you just said he's not Red? Make up your mind, for God's sakes.

...And? Whether you like it or not Saim, Pokemon Trainer is a GENERIC CHARACTER. WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR YOU TO ACCEPT?Toon Link sounds a lot less gay than "Hero of Winds Link". Because you touch yourself at night. That's nice Except it's not Red By that logic we should have about 13 Link characters. Lolwut Hmm... that was rather pointless.

He has been a generic character whenever playable, what don't you understand about that? A named generic character is less generic than a nameless generic character. Well, I'm sorry. We've tried to make you understand the reasons of the past and the reasons in the game itself to name him that way. DiU's was an excellent answer to why that's the Pokémon Trainer's name in Brawl, and TV Eye and I have tried to explain it based on the character's use in the original games. You can continue not liking it if you wish. But "Toon Link" has a totally different meaning. It doesn't come from the character's name at all, rather what they look like. The latest thing we were discussing was your remark about Toon-shaded Link not being the same thing as Toon Link. There was no need to go back to the name not having the same meaning as "the Link from The Wind Waker". We already agreed on that. It does not mean the same. If it was pointless why did you respond? If it is pointless, please don't post it. Never. They made him look like tWW Link, and I'm sure that in the trophy section it'll say "games: Phantom Hourglass, the Wind Waker" or whatever. It's grouped by game series. Still he has the default Link's moves, just with a look from The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. It's "Link in toon style like the Link from TWW, PH, TMC, FS and FSA", "Toon Link" for short. You need to understand that this is not a "dogma" we are defending, but facts that we're trying to explain to ourselves because of our Nintendo experience. I am closing this thread because it has nothing to do with NinjaRygar's irony and everybody has explained themselves.
