Hooray for Koopa Kids. Though it's weird that Morton's shell ain't white. That's what I liked about him, without his unique shell colour he's kinda generic compared to the others.[/minor bitch]
Penguin Mario is just silly/awesome.
And I like Yoshi's return to being Mario's partner in both SMG2 and SMBW.

I just... don't know what else to say. They have completely surprised me. I blew a nut when I saw Metroid, I squealed like a girl over Galaxy 2, and NSMBWii has me incredibly excited. My only gripe is that NSMB lacks any real characters for players 3 and 4, but considering everything else... Mmm
I love that Team Ninja is not only making Metroid in another "timed event" game, but the fact that it appears to be fully voice acted and includes nearly every Metroid character ever. I hope I wasn't the only one that saw Mother Brain in there. And the new look for Samus is awesome; I was upset when Brawl got rid of her "grizzled" look. Since they're all hyperrealistic in this game she's a nice mix between the "button cute bombshell" and "weary warrior," so I can deal. ...oh yeah, I totally think the black dude was Sylux. No way he wasn't. It was my first thought.

There was also a new Mario & Sonic trailer that showed two new characters. DK and Metal Sonic.

EDIT: There is an event with Miyamoto at 6pm, also Reggie has this to say.
“You know, the Retro folks are hard at work. We and they wanted to do something different than Metroid, to show their chops in a different area. More to come on that. We don’t have anything to reveal about Retro at this E3 but they are hard at work.”
“So Galaxy, in the press conference we didn’t say, but it’s 2010. So not this year. But New Super Mario Bros. Wii is going to be fantastic…”

DK and Metal Sonic are in the game. I wonder if the ice hockey game will use "character weight" like the NES IH game?
S&P 2 trailer and details.
* Players can run on foot or take to the skies with a jetpack or hovering skateboard-like device to dodge enemy attacks or get a better lock on their targets.
* Players can fire at targets in the distance or switch to sword attacks for close-range targets.
* The Wii Remote controller's pointing ability is used to aim weapons, while the Nunchuk controller is used for positioning and maneuvering.
* Numerous settings include beautifully rendered cityscapes and dramatic underwater tunnels, all populated by fierce enemies.
* It's all about the multiplier. The better a player's skills, the more points are earned, and the bigger the bonus. Players will want to play the game again and again to beat their personal best on each level. The better the performance, the bigger the multiplier and the higher the final score.
