Am I the only one who thought the Toad is blue to homage SMB2? You know, where the NES limits made the Toad a blue Toad?

I think its because the natural color selection are red, blue, green, and yellow in all video games.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks like it is going to be a fun game! I love the fact that Toad is finally playable in a Mario platformer game again after 20 years! I thought it was awesome to see Toad riding Yoshi.  |

The Miyamoto press event just finished a few hours ago. There was no video or camera's allowed into the event, so here's a LiveBlog of the event.He talks about the various games and even why Wii Zelda didn't show up, but did show artwork of a adult Link who looked more mature than before. Also he like it how the island from WSR is the same one from Wii Fit, would like it to appear in different games (gives example of mystery game set in a motel on the island). NSMB Wii will feature 80 levels and will not have online play because . . ."Wii is already being overpowered by what's happening on screen in New Super Mario Bros Wii. So no power left for online. " (Actual quote). So HVS can get 65 enemies on screen in a 4 player co-op online FPS, while Nintendo can't get the same thing happening in a sidescrolling platformer. Something doesn't seem right there . . . |
