Rhythm Tengoku Gold is coming to North America as Rhythm Heaven. Also, Kirby Super Star Ultra and Wario Land: Shake It! have both been bumped up to September 22.

Animal Crossing its hardly a “Core game“. I enjoy it, and I apreciate that they finally got a slight graphical update (wich could have been done on the cube easily) If only trhird parties released good games on the Wii, I already have most of their good stuff thats not a party game (playing Okami right now). Sad, an E3 with no game featuring nintendo big stars (Anyone that apeared in Brawl) its a dissapointment.

wii.ign.com/articles/890/890143p1.htmlAND to top it all off? NO FUCKING STORAGE SOLUTION. They are still "considering" some hard drive or other memory device, but are not positive on anything we will see any time soon.

Okay, let's look at this in traditional NinDB detail...
Animal Crossing: City Folk This looks like Animal Crossing: Wild World, but with some of the shops in a separate city. Online multiplayer with voice chat, and the ability to "wear a mask" of your Mii are the real hooks. People love this series, but not necessarily the core gamer market.
Wii Sports Resort It's intriguing to see that the Wii Remote will have an attachment to create more sensitive motion controls in realtime. Intriguing, because I thought that was the point of the Wii motion controls in the first place!! So on top of the Balance Board, we also need this extra doodad in order to play all the minigames. Oh, and if I wanna play multiplayer do I have to buy several of them? None of the games are going to be deep enough to engage me. You just have to look at the jetski game to know it won't be able to hold a candle to Wave Race 64 or Blue Storm. The frisbee game doesn't look exciting... This game isn't for me. It's for my mother (well, not my mother - she's more into Animal Crossing).
Wii Music Now this is an insult. Pretend like you're playing and press buttons to the beat. You are not ranked. You just pretend like you're playing. Uses the Balance Board as well. What a crockload of balls. It's not a game! Why would I buy this?! Why would I even play this?! It doesn't look engaging or challenging or even entertaining for someone who has no interest in playing. And the conference showed a bunch of people playing the Mario theme. Quite badly. These are the people who made it - they've had a couple years to practice on this since the original demo!
Voice Chat I fail to see how this is a good idea. Because I get so bored with Animal Crossing that I will probably swear a lot. Or put some porno on full volume.
Extra Motion Control WASN'T THIS THE POINT IN THE FIRST PLACE!?! At least games might try something more impressive than basic gestures - replacing button presses with arm gestures got old fast.

Fryguy managed to sum it up perfectly. Wii Music is just demeaning...
And don't tell me that they couldn't accomplish what you do in Wii Sports 2 what you can't already do with the normal Wiimote.

At 1AM GMT (whatever that is in your time), there's supposed to be another announcement from Nintendo. They did this with the first SSBB video a couple years ago.
I am not getting my hopes up, but at least we MIGHT still have something to look forward to.

Voice ChatI fail to see how this is a good idea. What? How is voice chat not a good idea. Not a good idea for Nintendo's kid friendly image, sure, but its a good idea for us gamers. I love me some Wii Sports, so Sports Resort sounds good, as long as the sports are good (frisbee isn't a sport - there better be, say, volleyball, cricket, i dunno, stuff that you'd actually play at a beach). AC is meh, I loved the DS version for like, a month, then never touched it again, so I'm not sure I want to buy another. Wii Music was absolutely shithouse. I'm still not even sure it's all that appealling to casuals, either - its just air banding. And not like the awesome air banding on Scrubs. Just stupid douchebag air banding. Throwing absolutely no bones to the hardcore is rather odd and saddening, though.

Well, to be honest, I didn't expect much from Nintendo at E3. Last year was all about Wii Fit, and I predicted it would follow the same path this year. I was right, which is quite disappointing. *shrugs*

Online multiplayer with voice chat, and the ability to "wear a mask" of your Mii are the real hooks. People love this series, but not necessarily the core gamer market. I'm not saying that Wild World and City Folk aren't basically the same damn game, BUT with the Wii getting a life of its own (and Wild World coming out at a time when the DS wasn't quite where it is now) this is a good opportunity to bring back AC for all those casual folks. This is NOT a core game in the least. At all. But it IS a good casual game to break folks into Nintendo as a whole, rather than just playing crap like Wii Sports and whatnot. Personally I may pick it up if only for the joy of Animal Crossing all over again.Wii Sports ResortIt's intriguing to see that the Wii Remote will have an attachment to create more sensitive motion controls in realtime. Intriguing, because I thought that was the point of the Wii motion controls in the first place!! So on top of the Balance Board, we also need this extra doodad in order to play all the minigames. It's for my mother (well, not my mother - she's more into Animal Crossing). So long as it's another Wii Sports it will sell. That's really the point. Sucks that it only comes with one Motion Plus, but I'm assuming you don't NEED it for any of the games. I know a ton of people are going to forgo getting second or thirds anyways.Wii MusicNow this is an insult. What bothers me is that this is not a game so much as it is a technical demo. The least they could do was make you work towards high scores or through ranks a la Guitar Hero, but apparently not. This looks fun, but it's a bad example of how greedy and "casual-friendly" Nintendo has become. I mean, Christ, how many "non-games" are they releasing now? Too many, that's what.Voice ChatI fail to see how this is a good idea. Because I get so bored with Animal Crossing that I will probably swear a lot. Or put some porno on full volume. See, I think this is cool. It's more impersonal than a headset but it allows all the people in the room to get in on the action. It's cool too because it doesn't really do anything except sit atop your sensor bar. What would be nice to see, however, is make a firmware update where ALL Wi-Fi games allow this feature to run in the background. That way we can talk while doing Pokemon Battles or Smash matches. It would be really awesome to have such a thing implemented and I hope Nintendo takes the hint and starts using this to their advantage. Also, if Wii Sports Resort happens to be online (which I bet it will be) this is a fantastic way to get people more interested in online gaming rather than letting their Wii only come out at parties.Extra Motion ControlWASN'T THIS THE POINT IN THE FIRST PLACE!?! At least games might try something more impressive than basic gestures - replacing button presses with arm gestures got old fast. Nobody's perfect. This IS frigging 30 bucks though, which is highway robbery in my opinion. Hopefully they will at least start remaking Wiimotes to INCLUDE this in the package. Otherwise they will have lost a great deal of respect from people. Another accessory? Ugh... It's meant for the hardcore audience who went out and bought Wavebirds and Classic Controllers from them, and these are the folks who will likely only get one or two and be done with it. But for the casuals I feel sorry because, frankly, it's far too expensive and it's going to be marketed horribly. I'm sure of that.My responses are in red. Thinking back, I'm now on an even keel. I was upset but when I thought about it Nintendo did the same thing last year and the year before that. Just bear with it, because we will definitely be getting some cool shit down the pipeline. Miyamoto is the man and we know he has at least one more Mario and two more Zelda cooking just for us. So hold your horses, guys.
