Oh is it? Sorry about that! Looks like the only game worth buying in the next year or so will be PW:T&T. Oh, well. *goes off to play Brawl for the whole of next year*

Nintendo's "big announcement" is meant to be now. If it's happening. I hope so. I don't want to have stayed up this late for nothing

Its happening now. They're showing the games they showed at the conference.
Why hype yourself up again? Nintendo's E3 is all about the casual.

Nintendo's E3 is all about the casual. Seriously, I really think it's a bit over blown. Too many of us, AC is not a core game, but Nintendo thinks otherwise. Many core gamers play AC so, as Nintendo said, they showed a game the core will be happy about. But that doesn't seem to be the case as now it suddenly isn;t and everyone is pissed off. But lets think for a second here. What did we just have come out. Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Brawl and Mario Kart and another Zelda. All these in a 1 year span. Not only is this an amazing line up but it all happened at once. Basically, we didn't see anything becuase there wasn't anything. Nintendo was, for the most part, tapped. This is why there was a lot of talk about these games being developed, because that's where they are. And of course, they are waiting till they feel it's good enough to be shown. We see these Wii____ games becuase they are so easy to make. They are done will just small development teams, so Nintendo can get these out of the door so much easier. This is why we see them one after another. Basically, Nintendo showed what it could. There may be other games in the woodwork but we wont know about them till they are ready to be shown, and all the games we want aren't ready yet.

That's where you're wrong. Nintendo has a huge team spending tons of time trying to perfect these casual games.

If you are, then I have no response to your post above. If you aren't, I think it only took 10 people to make Wii Fit over a long period of time (more than a year but possibly longer I think I may have heard two years at one point). They seems to just have small teams working over a longer period of time to make these games after seeing how long Wii Music has been in around for.

The graphics in those games may be simple, but the likes of Wii Fit and Wii Sports requires some pretty damn precise calculations on movement.

It was Pikmin 3! The big news was the confirmation of Pikmin 3! Got a link? I don't disbelieve you or anything, but a Google search didn't turn up anything.
