Don't they? I knew Yellow Rob reminded me of something then it hit me: Diskun! Brown Bowser has been mentioned as Boom Boom on Smashwiki for ages now. I dismissed it for the longest time, now it's one I'm most sure of.

Those two, Hammer Bros. Bowser Vaati and Agahnim Ganondorf and Purple Shiny Charizard are the only ones from the last few pages, which I've spent throwing crap at a wall out of boredom and hoping it sticks, I hope Fry adds as possibilities.

I've also heard that in the original Zelda Zelda would be the same color as Link- so if you didn't get any rings, you'd get a green Zelda. IF you had a Red Ring, you'd get the Red Zelda most people identify as the original Zelda. Duke Serkol of www.bszelda.zeldalegends.net suggested it to me when I inquired about the green BS Zelda Zelda sprites. I'll look into this via the net and cheat codes.

The Shiny Charizard is gold. I buy it. The Zelda stuff, though... it's a bit suspect. I like the out of the box thinking, though.

Green Zelda. I apoligize for the quality of the screenshot- it's the best Nestopia can do, combined with a resizing so you can make it out. The aforementioned description stands- Zelda's dress is the same color as Link's tunic. Thanks to Duke Serkol for it!

I do hope nobody finds my posting in this topic annoying. I've tried to exhuast all possibilities. Mostly out of boredom, at that.

Glad to see some support for Fiery Luigi and Sonic 1 pallete Sonic in it! Nice posters too.

Another one that Duke Serkol proposed that I find interesting: Ninten Ness:
Ninten has thinner yellow stripes, his face is slightly different, his shoes are blue and his shirt is untucked. The purple Ness has yellow stripes like Ness with purplish blue, as well as the blue shoes:


The purple could be meant to be the blue without making it to similar to Ness' regular costume.

EDIT: Smashwiki pointed out one that I think us missing qualifies for some sort of mental disability: Fire Wario.
Wario's white helmet biker outfit shares a color scheme with Fire Mario.

Double edit: I just noticed something: It's her regular suit with only the limbs colored green- the same as the SM sprite. It's also been lightened since Melee.

Also, What about the Climber Ice Climbers Flip suggested way back on page 5? The blue ICs are their only costume where they wear similar colors, plus the white parts of their parka synch up with the Climber's headband and armbands. I've no idea what the green gloves could be, unless it's supposed to be the greenish tint of the LCD screen.
And before you say it's American only, it was included as an unlockable in G&WG3, so it's not totally unknown over seas.

Another possibility for Black Shell Bowser I'd forgotten about: 'Rainbow' Bowser:

To some, it may look green, but his shell looks blackish to me. Not black, mind you, but dark. One common thing I find interesting is that 'Rainbow' Bowser has yellowish spikes on his shell. At first I thought it was just teh 64 coloring, but the other Bowsers have white spikes. This also goes for the spike- which you can't see in my screen, despite me choosing the most opportune moment for it- s on his collar, which are also dirty looking on the Brawl model.

Wait, that was because of the lighting? I've always thought it was because of Bowser using the Power Stars, hence the big one he gives you at the end of the battle. Although, I guess the sky's color would be a giveaway. Sorry.

Look at it this way... for every 10 ideas, you have one I might consider a real cameo. But if you didn't come up with the 9 other ideas, you might never have come up with the 1 that makes sense...

So keep going... just maybe try to refine some of your ideas a bit so I don't have to do it

No problem. I've been wary with the amount of posting I've done in this thread- a great deal of it double posting, at that- but I'm glad my "work" is somewhat appreciated here. Many bored nights have been spent in this thread.

If you don't mind me asking, what'd you think of the Green Zelda, Boom Boom, Agahnim, Diskun and Shiny Bowser alts? Those are the ones I'm most convinced of, and think have the highest chance of being refs

After that, I think Green Bowser, Ganon, the Climber(s), Centurion Pit and Sonic tints have a possibility. At the least, they have something to draw on.

As for Agahnim, in official art, Agahnim wore a red robe, had a red cape and a red turban thing that part of comes down like hair Red Ganondorf has red armor, a red cape and his already red hair.He is the only one of Ganondorf's alts to have the same color cape as his armor, which is either a coincidence or points to something unique about him

As for Green Bowser, I was actually talking about his last alt:

The skin looks like its brownish, but upon closer inspection shows its a very dark green. He also has orange hair, much like the SMW Bowser, who was all green.

Also, Sonic's blackish alt is, in all likelyhood, referring to Shadow.

And one Melee alt I just noticed: Zelda's last alt, the purple dress, is probably her Blue Ring dress. As demonstrated above, her dress matches Link's tunic in game. This alt matches Link's Blue Ring tunic in Melee. The dress was removed for Brawl, and like all removed costumes, needs an entry on the OP. C'mon, there's only like 3 of them!

The ROB to Nav-Com comparison has been made before, and it was shot down before. So although I support it, Star Tropics wasn't even listed in the Japanese Chronicle, so no. No dice.
