Actually, it is April 1st... I know. That's why I think you're doing it for the lulz.  So, back to topic... so, let me get this right... Bob spent the last five years telling everyone he's making a game by himself but in the process, he makes himself appear insane even though his game is actually good? Haha, that's funny. |

His game is not good He didn't spend a lot of time pretending to be insane He is not a genius Bob is a pretentious jerk who bitches and moans because he "didn't have any help on his game and no one will ever buy it".  |

Have you played his game? You haven't? Then don't tell me it's good, because from I've seen, the only people who say his game is good, is people who are apparently on drugs. (it’s a love story wrought with romance, tragedy, betrayal, sorrow, pain, and just maybe reconciliation.)
Are you sure he didn't pretend? Are you sure he really was crazy and said he was pretending?
I'm "pissy" because Bob is an asshole and asshole's should not be sympathized. They spew tons of shit that no one wants to touch hear.

...and I don't know where you get the thing about people on drugs from. I know I can't say for sure if the game is good or not, but I think it has promise.
And Bob isn't an asshole. He just punk'd you is all.

I guess the entirety of the New York Times' staff is also on drugs.  And you'd have to be a really stubborn asshat to not believe Bob at this point. He basically came as clean as a whistle. You're just too cheesed off by the previous backlash to change your mind about it now. I can tell quite easily. |

I read a little bit of this thread again for old times sake and it seems people were convinced Bob was pretending to be insane while I was the only one who thought otherwise. Well guess what? He's back and crazier than ever.
He's got a kickstarter up demanding $10,000 for a game he's already made. He's also homeless and recruited other homeless people to help him. And he wants to build a pyramid or some shit.
I'd post links but I'm on my phone and only just read the thread he made on /v/. Luckily everyone there remembers him and how much of an asshole he was and still is.

I saw that kickstarter earlier today. 2009 huh? Man that takes me back (my old posts read like I'm constantly frustrated haha)
I did feel kinda bad for him after reading his story on that website of his until the part he killed a kitten. On one hand I want to check out a videogame made by somebody who thinks the world's controlled by wizards, but dude's completely bonkers and the <10,000 goal is probably best for him. And some therapy.

This guy is back? I can never tell what to feel about this guy, disgusted or sad for him. The pretentiousness of the kickstarter page could give Phil Fish a run for his money, but at least that guy made a decent game and got it out. My favorite quote from the Kickstarer page would have to be "[...], I intend it to be the last great "16-bit" game- perhaps the greatest of all!" and ""bob's game" is the vehicle for a prophecy, written by a "self taught" "genius" "prophet." It carries within it a message that will revolutionize society and change the world. It is the beginning of a new era for mankind.". Part of me just wants to play the game now just to see what goes through the man's head.
How many years ago was it when he locked himself in his room or something like that in a hissy fit? Man, I'm starting to feel old, I shouldn't feel old at this age. Haha, oh well

Apparently some people who know him have tried getting him help, but he's brushed them off saying that everyone will bite their tongues when his game comes out.
