One of my suggestions was actually made! It's Fario, from the bootleg Dian Shi Ma Li, AKA Mario Lottery:

Considering the game was released almost a year ago (or at least half a year ago depending on where you are), and we've discussed every single possible aspect of the damn thing, is it surprising? And does it really matter at all?

Nintendo has sent out a cease and desist order to hacking group led by Syntax Error. The group Stack Smash is still in operation. Source.Stack Smash website.

You know, after reading some of the comments on that second pag, I gotta say that many Nintendo fans out there are selfish jerks. They honestly think that Nintendo deserves such hatred because of the shut down?
Don't they realize that hacking a game is essentially like saying "your game wasn't cool enough, so I'll make it better!" and more or less serves as an insult to Nintendo in the first place?

I'm happy that Nintendo tolerates that much fan stuff on the Internet so far, including countless fansites. It's understandable when hacking their games goes too far for them. There are companies (independent of their business) which don't even allow harmless fansites. For example, you aren't able to upload screenshots of old East German television shows on the Internet on German sites (German law hasn't "fair use", so a vast amount of German fansites is actually illegal by law) because the copyright holders forbid any unauthorized publication. Not even screenshots, I tell you! That's why there's almost nothing from East German television on YouTube. Thankfully, Nintendo is different.

Man-Frog, that is perhaps the least amount of sense that you have ever made. This hack is essentially a mod, if what you are saying is true then all game modding is a slap in the face to all game companies.

Not only that, but certain companies include the stuff to hack the game. Like the guys who made Half-Life, Valve. So, that's like their slapping themselves?

Maybe Man Frog was meaning it bad to hack because it's a console game not a PC game.
As Qu, said Vault . . . er . . . Valve allows people to do mods of it's game like Half Life, TF2 and so on. (They have enven allowed maps made by player in TF2 map packs).
Another reason they like people to mods, is that Valve has in the past employed people who have made really impressive game mods like Team Fortress Classic. (Epic software (Unreal Tournament/Gears of War developers) also keeps their eye on very good modders for employment as well).
But console games don't get official mods because the console and game have to get tampered with as well. It may even be against the warrenty of the game as well.
There are some console games that do allow modding though, such as Unreal Tournament on the PS3, where characters such a Master Chief and Bender (Futurama) have beee put into the game by modders.
