Man, japanese companies always reserve stuff for themselves.
And on the topic of DeDeDe, I always pronounced it as "dead eddie (ded ede)" No, I'm just kidding, but now I know the awnser to the question why it was pronounced that way when there is only one E after each D.

As far as pronounciation of Dedede goes, aren't you forgetting the Brawl announcer on his name? You know, the be-all end-all of it?

I got Kirby Super Star Ultra for Christmas, and I just beat Marx Soul. So, excluding all the Helpers in Lelper to Hero, I've got 100%. And it's worth it.
I love the new modes.Revenge of the King is a nice successor to the original Dreamland's nightmare difficulty, and Metaknightmare Deluxe is fun.
The old modes are nice as well. They've been updated nicely.
Also, the new bosses are excellent. Especially Galacta Knight and Marx Soul.

Let's see
Yeah, the update is great. And you should try beating Helper to Hero as well. I'm only at 11 out of 20 on that game...
Revenge of the King is a bit on the easy side though. Anything non-Arena is too easy. Comparing the Dedede games with KDL? No. The ones we have here are too easy.
Never had a good chance to beat Marx Soul though. I used Stone to slowly deprecate his HP because I am clumsy in avoiding attacks.
And Galacta Knight was... fair. Meta would beat him very easily. But then, Meta beats everyone easily!

I got the game for Christmas and so far have played all the way up to Helper to Hero. This game actually tops the original as my favorite game ever. ;D

I used hammer in the True Arena. It kills Marx Soul easily.
I'm working on Helper to Hero. I've got it beat with Bonkers, Bio Spark, Rocky and Gim. I've almost beaten it with TAC, Capsule J2 and Bugzzy.
Revenge of the King is clearly based on teh second quest in KDL. Kracko even has the same attack pattern.

Revenge of the King heavily reminds me of various good-quality ROM hacks you see floating around out there. I like how the last stage doubles as a spoof of Revenge of Meta Knight. ;D

I used hammer in the True Arena. It kills Marx Soul easily. Gotte try again someday... Seeing my first record is about 40 minutes, I'm afraid the second try would be like this too... 40 minutes of fighting = 40 minutes of tension! You'll never want to get killed whtn Marx soul has 1 HP left. Revenge of the King is clearly based on teh second quest in KDL. Kracko even has the same attack pattern. Sure. Still miss the first KDL, as its physics and stuff make it the hardest Kirby even today. I like how the last stage doubles as a spoof of Revenge of Meta Knight. ;D Agreed. And the name itself is already a spoof! I've always thought Dedede envies Meta's coolness or something. I guess it's true.

I just bought this game yesterday, and I gotta say, I HATE THE GREAT CAVE OFFENSIVE! I never beat the SNES version, and this one is just as difficult. Am I required to light all the candles in the Old Tower?! How?!!

If I remember correctly lighting a bunch allows you to see a hidden door. Treasure's in there.

I just bought this game yesterday, and I gotta say, I HATE THE GREAT CAVE OFFENSIVE! I never beat the SNES version, and this one is just as difficult. Am I required to light all the candles in the Old Tower?! How?!! You don't need to light them all, all you need to do is to locate the hidden door and enter it. The other side of the tower is far more difficult, requiring you to start a switch and reach a door in time. Get slower or get lagged by taking damage and you'll have to start again. I haven't touched the SNES one for long, but I've beaten this game twice, one being a one-segment run. (Way to go until my goal of 300% clear...)

Well, I'm at Meta Knight Ultra now. Guess that means I have to go through everything again.
*sigh*
This game seems to like to repeat stuff...

I don't have the game, but are the modes still short? I thought maybe they'd lengthen 'em a bit....
On a side note, in the EGM review for the game, they said sometimes the level design was pretty clever, but it didn't compare to Mario games of the era.
I thought "Are you kidding? They can't do that, Kirby can fly anywhere, of course it will be limited!"

Hm... I think the level design is perfect for the game. RoMK in particular is very well designed.
Helper to Hero update: I've beaten it with Knuckle Joe, Parasol Waddle Dee,Chilly, Blade Knight Smirror, Sir Kibble, Plasma Whisp, Waddle Doo, Poppy Bro. Jr., Gim, Birdon, Bio Spark, Burnign Leo, Bonkers, Capsule J2, Bugzzy, TAC, Wheely Rocky and Sword Knight.
That's all of them.... ;D
EDIT: Oh, a really cool detail new to this version is the background in the Heavy Lobster fight. There are three paint tubes shooting out the paint blobs that HL shoots out onto a conveyor belt.
Double edit: Anopther thing I've noticed. There is something from the anime bleeding through: Prior to this, AFAIK, neither Blade Knight nor Sword Knight have been associated with Meta Knight. They're his helpers here.
