Saki is a girl? But, didn't the Dojo identify Saki as a he? Ahh, he's just a futuristic Marth.

Who said Saki was a girl?

Who said Saki was a girl? I think Arcadenik may have read the NinDB entry for the original S&P that (incorrectly and Fryguy does know about it) says that Saki is a girl.

Yep, and I'll get to fixing that page sooner or later

High-rez japanese boxart. The game comes out in October in Japan. (Western release is supposedly next year). Also the game does have online leaderboards, for those wondering about the WFC logo.

Love the artist returning. So amazing.
I'm excited for this game more than anything Nintendo's offering right now. (Kirby and Kid Icarus rumors don't count) More interested in why the girl's name is Kachi because I'm one of the few who loved the story. But of course, the gameplay comes first. And we'll find out SOON!

Just wanted to point out something. Here is a picture of the first level boss taken last June at E3. Here is that same boss, taken recently from the final build of the game. That is one heck of a spit shine!

That's a pretty awesome shiny glisten there. I love seeing things like that. It's amazing what a bit of extra development time can do.

New trailer and screenshots here. Honestly, I was starting to think that Nintendo was backing out of publishing this game in North America, being that we haven't heard about it in so long and it apparently sold terribly in Japan. Almost like history repeating itself. Oh, and as stated in another thread, the release is June 7, just about three weeks before Metroid: Other M.

I'm glad they're committing to this. I don't know if it's my kind of game, but it looks like it'd be a solid shooter with plenty of action, and it's Treasure, and they have quite a collection of fans, so hopefully it'll do better than some other Wii titles I can think of...

The game also got a name change, removal of "2" and replaced with "Star Successor."
I personally think it was good the name was changed, prevents the problem of consumers/people (no, not us) confused over what happened to S&P1.

But Sin & Punishment 1 is more available now than it's ever been! ;D If it was released on N64 worldwide, but not on Virtual Console, the issue of confusing sequelitis would be even worse. Nobody played the N64 after Zelda came out, right?

Well, I'm just glad that I won't have to wait seven years for S&P2 to be released as a downloadable import for the Super WiiCube 64. According to Siliconera, there are some graphical alterations to the international version of the game, leading to speculation that there may be other changes, as well.
