This is just a rumor for the moment but apparently this is how well the NA sales of S&P 2 did. Naughty Bear > Singularity > Sin and Punishmentgonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=130494*shakes head in a dissapointing way* Breaks my big gamer heart to no end, I'am not all that shocked, well I'am not shocked at all really but still... It was only out for 4 days in June. Give it another month. Here's VGCharts sales figures.

For those in Australia wanting S&P2, it appears JB HiFi stores are going to be stocking the game for sale in limited quanities.

I saw the demo at GameStop last night, when accompanying a friend to the Starcraft II midnight launch. I watched over somebody's shoulder as they went through the first couple levels.
I...am actually really depressed at how poor the visuals are. Sure, S&P2 would look great if it were a Dreamcast game, but that was two generations ago; there's no excuse for a new game to look that old.
Also, the writing and dialog made me cringe, and the character design is really, really awkward. The male protagonist wears short-shorts, tight, white gloves that go up to mid-wrist and thigh-high white boots with platforms and I'm not supposed to think he's a chick? Okay, sure, I thought Saki was a girl too, but at the same time, it has the excuse of being an N64 game and looking like stuck-together marshmallows. Hell, even the villain you meet after "Level 0" (seriously? It couldn't be called "Level 1?") looks like an old lady. Actually, much like the librarian ghost in Ghostbusters, now that I think about it...
Unfortunately, a GameStop employee had to turn the system off before I got a turn, so I have nothing to say about the gameplay right now. T_T

The gameplay's pretty good actually, but the problem is the first couple of stages are kinda bland. The water tunnel stage is really visually impressive, and kinda justifies the lower-poly character models due to the amount going on and all the crazy crap flying at you... but it doesn't justify the lack of pre-rendered cutscenes using higher poly models.
But the writing during those cutscenes really is awful anyway... so really they could have done with cutting most of it out.
As for the character designs... It is a Treasure game. Their designs tend to be a little on the bizarre side.

BUMP!
Completed the game on easy with Isa yesterday, got quite a few game overs in the final level (and of course thorughout the main game)
Now starting the game on Normal with Kachi, it's quite a nice gameplay difference between the two characters.
The one interesting thing about the diffiuclt bosses is that . . . well, how do you describe it? When you get your beaten and beaten and you think your doing the right thing to fight the boss but then you discover "that moment" of how to properly fight the boss and then you go and beat the crap out of them.
Also jump button . . . WHY? Just jetpack/hoverboard away!!!!!
The length of each stage feels longer than the ones in the original.
Also has anyone uploaded their scores to the WFC? Quite nice to a Wii shooter game actually do that (cough, cough,Wii RE, Dead Space, etc light gun games)
I also find it rather sad how this game seems like it gotten hardly any web media exporsure, has any gaming webcomic mocked the game yet?

Also jump button . . . WHY? Just jetpack/hoverboard away!!!!! Ever notice how when you're standing on the ground, your score continually increases? Jumping, instead of hovering, doesn't interrupt that. In other words, it's a score micro-management thing. I tend to play a ground-based game, myself, and that little hop does come in handy sometimes. I have, tho my scores are out of date by now. (I'm under the name "Nester", of course!) I find it sad that the game went unnoticed in general. I wish this series was a higher tier franchise for Nintendo.
