Sin&Punishment is one of my favorite games of all time. It is my second favorite N64 title. I am an absolute SUCKER to arcade shooters, the first game was the arcade shooter I would want on a console with a great (and very complicated and interesting) plot and anime visuals. Every hint at a sequel got my hopes up, but I doubted it'd happen. BUT here we are! www.gametrailers.com/player/40742.html Actually unsure how to embed a video, if anyone could help that wouldd be great. I'm guessing this is Saki and Airan's son Issa from the Long Island subway future sequence, and I imagine then that this is NYC. Regardless, the graphics are a huge step from the original, obviously, and the gameplay looks like it's gonna get even more crazy.

It's my favourite game of the conference. I liked how Issa's gravity backpack allows for free-flight stages (instead of walking all the time), it's a nice addition and I'm sure it will result on crazy situations when avoiding enemy attacks. es.youtube.com/watch?v=AZOw7qfYwjs

Yeah, the backpack looks amazing. Especially in that you can go underwater with it! =D

Think Treasure is involved? They were interested in making a S&P sequel for Wii and are making 2 3D games for the Wii, this could be one of them. I would be surprised if they wern't making it.

Yeah, I edited my post with the article from NP. But what about the second game...? Where was it said they are making two?

Treasure OWNS the developing rights, it's gotta be them.

So, is Issa a girl or boy?

Treasure OWNS the developing rights, it's gotta be them. There's no such thing as "developing rights". They can own the IP or they can own the game code. A publisher usually owns the IP (which must be the case here) and the developer usually owns the game's coding. Of COURSE Treasure is developing it. There have been news articles and blog posts over the last year where Treasure has been saying they want to make a sequel on the Wii, or work on Wii projects. And come ON! Sin & Punishment on the Virtual Console must have been a major clue there We hardly have any N64 games, and then along comes a fairly obscure, Japan-only title!

Issa's a boy.
Seriously, everyone go play the game cause I bet most of you haven't.

I played it, but I thought Issa was a girl. Probably just had a feminine voice or something.

Don't worry. People think Saki is a girl also.
Either way, Nintendo obviously owns the IP as Saki had his cameo in Brawl.

I think it's more that a good number of people asked to add him but he may not have been as requested as other characters or because his game never came here.

1up.com has posted the highlights of an interview with Treasure's Masato Maegawa that's kind of interesting. Sin & Punishment 2 has the same character designer as the original. Although (and this isn't mentioned in the interview), apparently the director of the original no longer works at Treasure. Apparently, all of Treasure's games on the Virtual Console have sold well except for Dynamite Headdy. Maegawa is disappointed about that because he personally worked on that one.
