After more than 13 years of waiting, the sequel to EarthBound is now in English! I hope fans of the series, new and old, will find MOTHER 3 to be just as unique and interesting as its predecessors. We tried our very best to make a worthy translation, and I think we came close to hitting that mark. With any luck, the translation will seem just as "strange, funny, and heartrending" as the original Japanese version.
MOTHER 3 is filled with secrets and rarities. Characters say new things after even the tiniest of events. Take your time to explore the game's intriguing world - you won't be disappointed! And when you're done, be sure to come back here, because we've prepared many more goodies for fans to check out and enjoy post-game!
Enjoy your time in the world of MOTHER 3! - TomatoIt took them a good amount of time, but they finally pulled it off. Just apply the easy to use translation patch to a rom of the game and start having fun! Cool. But isn't Nintendo going to order the fans to cease and desist playing Mother 3 for free? Nintendo doesn't like to lose money, you know...
Nintendo really needs to release Mother 3 for DS or WiiWare, if not Virtual Console... and release Mother 1 for Virtual Console in North America.

They've been working on this for over a year and had a working beta patch for months. If Nintendo cared about it, they would have ordered a C&D by now. Plus, as you said, they like $$$. They have no way of making money off of Mother 3 in America.
I'm glad it's finally done! I've already played through it with the beta patch. Amaznig game.

That, or put the patched rom on a flash cart and play it on an actual GBA.

Yeah but they are prooting piracy and they are distributing a translation with copyrighted content.

Still Nintendo knew about this from a looooooong time (It has never being a secret) and they didn´t do anything, So I guess they don´t care.

I know that they knew about it, and it's probably not that they don't care, just that Mato pretty much forced you to buy Mother 3 or Mother merchandise.
