Two new stages have been revealed today - including Williamette Mall, the locale of Dead Rising. I doubt we'll be seeing any new stages for Joe or Zero, alas. There's some goofy videos in this blog post, too.

Well, this is fascinating. Preview builds have been landing in the hands of our bigger press sites, and while the majority run through the motions, Nintendo World Report mentions this tidbit: So, perhaps there's a chance we'll see Amaterasu after all! I'll keep you posted.

Even MORE characters?
There were rumors they were adding SIX more, not FOUR. So... maybe. With SSFIV being a bigger bang than was expected, I wouldn't be surprised.

I heard of 5, but I'll happily take 6. Still won't make the roster even, but I won't object. Hell, Capcom can go apeshit and add 11. I doubt they will, but I'll support them 100%. I predict (as gloomy as it sounds) that Yatterman-2, who was among Frank, Zero and Joe in the roster leak, is the remaining character who hasn't been revealed yet. But...nothing wrong with hoping!

Well, folks, here's more fuel to add to the fire. Quoted from my site: Along with that, producer Ryota Niitsuma has blogged that big news will be revealed January 6th! Excited yet?

Big news, eh? Wait a minute... that's tomorrow!
Secret characters too? Excellent. I'm hoping that the Samurai Pizza Cats will show up.

Ah, I was wondering about that. I saw that reveal on Gamespot and I was like "Wait... could've sworn I knew this already...."

Hooray, another female playable character - and more secret characters! You don't need me to tell you who I'm still holding out for ;D

The way Capcom staffers are talking, there's going to be more. We'll just have to see, though. It's only a short 3 week wait!

It's 2010, so we might get Kevin Striker from Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight, as a playable character, but during the time of its release, Capcom was struggling hard in creating another game in the Street Fighter series. Street Fighter '89 had an intro that was later used for Street Fighter II, while the game was renamed as Final Fight, and while both, the Street Fighter and Final Fight franchises have been crossing over each other, Joe in the intro to Street Fighter '89 / Street Fighter II resembles Cody. They also have very similar jump kicks. If Captain Commando takes place in Metro City, then it's probably in the Street Fighter/Final Fight universe. Capcom was also having a hard time developing their former mascot during the same time Sega was creating Sonic the Hedgehog. And like Sonic, Captain Commando had several designs of his look. Mighty the Armadillo was the prototype of Sonic, and while Captain Commando's look of today resembles Kevin Striker's, then Kevin's probably the prototype of the Captain Commando of today.

I would love to see Amaterasu, the white wolf from Okami, make a playable appearance in this game or in another (insert company's name here) vs. Capcom game. I loved Okami on the Wii.
