To be fair, I brought up the quote too, but even I acknowledged that it was a joke.
Guess the Kremling temples can either be explained by Krocodile Isle and Kong Isle being part of the same landmass at one point, or by the Kremlings attempting to colonize Kong Island at one point and failing miserably (hence the factories and shrines still present on the island).

I really doubt Rare ever thought that much about it. They threw in some crocodile imagery because your enemies are crocodiles. They have a factory on DK Island because factories make good stages. Makes sense to me. XD

Anyway, what changes do you expect from the other titles, now that we've seen what was done in Jungle Beat?

Anyway, what changes do you expect from the other titles, now that we've seen what was done in Jungle Beat? Well, I'm not expected anything radical like online multiplayer or anything, (the entire multiplayer game has to be rebuilt from scratch for online multiplayer). With the Metroid Prime 1 & 2 remakes, I'm hoping they put the achievement system like MP3:C has (they might as well make scanning better), - Remove any glitches from the games (Retro have stated that they watch YouTube videos of people perform glitches (with like an NA version) and then fix them up before being released elsewhere. (not saying the games a glitchy or buggy or anything like that). - Change the level design in MP2? I heard Retro learned alot about the preferences of Western and Eastern gamers and that was applied to MP3. (the Japanese don't mind getting lost because they become happy when they find their way again, while NA hate getting lost). - The only thing that makes me wonder, is how the control scheme will work, will the different gun types have to be sorted like how the visors in MP3 were, it wouldn't work if it was just a stackable beam like MP3 because of missile combos in MP1 for example. Or the Classic controller could just be used. - Metroid Fusion GBA connectivity in MP1, will it be kept or removed? Considering the original Metroid has a GBA/NES remake/port and a VC download and that GBA connectivity has been dead for many years. Only way I think this could be overcome could be for the game to detect the wireless signal of an empty DS (I highly doubt any link with MPH to unlock something is going to happen). - Also I hope the bundle both MP1 & 2 outside of Japan because it doesn't appear they are doing it in Japan.

Well they might allow you to download a Metroid demo on to your DS through Metroid Prime.

Makes sense to me. XD Well naturally they added the Kremling statues in the temple levels because they thought it looked cool, and at that point they probably didn't bank on having a sequel where you explore the Kremling's own island. I remember reading once that the Kremlings were already made for another before Rare got the DK license, but they decided they were a perfect fit for the DK revival.

Any new sites for Play on Wii up yet? Is Mario Power Tennis next?
I hope they add Toad and Toadette. They were on the score board in the intro but you never play as them.

I doubt it, since they'd have to come up with Power moves and all. Besides, I was under the impression that it was the same as the GC game, just with Wii controls.

What's wrong with coming up with new Power shots? And why would they just take an old game and add absolutely nothing to it besides a new control scheme?
We'll find out when fate says we're allowed to find out....

Well, I posted this MPT info before but since no one noticed it the first time, looks like I'll have to post it again. - perform backhand and forehand shots - direct ball on corners of court - top spin and slice based on motion controls - Buttons for special moves - no Cube controller support Source.

Yes, that's what I believe too. Maybe new characters are pushing it. But a new court seems very possible.

www.joystiq.com/2008/12/10/new-features-for-pikmin-mario-tennis-wii-makes-revealed/In Pikmin you can go back and replay any day you want. Sounds pretty interesting, I just wonder if that means if you can start over from a particular day... or somehow alter the past so that what you did that day will change events in later days. My God... it's mind boggling! Mario Tennis lets you use a Nunchuk. Yay? This is one game I don't like seeing ported as much. With Wiimote play, is there a point in making a proper sequel now? Maybe to add online, but that's about it.
