From Joystiq.comBeing the foul-smelling, eternally greedy anti-hero that he is, it comes as little surprise to see Wario delve into the lucrative field of video game development yet again. According to a recent operational briefing, delivered by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, DS owners can expect to see the mustache-twirling glutton in several upcoming titles -- and they'll even get to design some of them.
"WarioWare Myself" continues the franchise's celebration of all games deemed mini, with the addition of some user-created content. Players will reportedly be able to create their own frantic minigames and inflict them upon share them with others. There's also talk of a WiiWare application that allows these creations to be played, though not designed, on the Wii.
As for Nintendo's new DSi, Iwata revealed plans to release "WarioWare: Photograph," a camera-enabled, gesture-based affair, as well as several WarioWare minigames that will be available for download on the system's online store. For the sake of productivity, we sincerely hope Nintendo fails to include that infernal, paper airplane game. You know the one.Lots of new WarioWare news this week! Fantastic to hear there are two new games coming out at the same time. To be honest, I don't know if I'm 100% behind the concept of WW: P, but I've been wrong about WarioWare games in the past and I'm willing to keep an open mind. It'd just have to wait, since I don't intend on buying a DSi for a while. XD

I posted this info (with pictures and also DSiWare games) a few days ago in the "DSi News" thread. Yes, but now this is a place to specifically discuss THESE games, rather than ALL DSi games. I'd have to see more of how the creator works. It sounds like it could be awesome. Presumably you can upload graphics and sounds using the SD card reader? This game might justify the purchase of a DSi

Are WarioWare: Myself and WarioWare: Photograph the official (tentative) western titles?

They sound like they'll be the final names, as far as I know.
I'm hoping more for newer characters in these games.

Awesome news really. I'm a pretty big fan of the Wario Ware series, and the "Create your own Microgame"feature sounds promising, although I am curious to see how you actually create them. Sounds cool though for sure

Reggie appears to have confirmed the name for WarioWare: Myself, when he was talking about user generated content in Nintendo games and saying that they will keep pace with it. Here's the full quote from Reggie. "Band Brothers Deluxe lets DS users compose their own music and then share it. Girls Mode* is a game that lets players design their own clothing and then run their own fashion store. Nintendo DSi Moving Notepad can be thought as a flipbook animation, your own doodle pad turned into a little movie and with WarioWare Myself users can design their own mini-games and then play them against their friends," Source.* Girls Mode is a NDS game from Nintendo that will come out (if it already hasn't) in Japan. There have been no plans for the game to get released outside of Japan and it is surpising that the game was mentioned in the speech.

Girls Mode? Is Nintendo losing it?
They sure are playing that "appeal to wider audience" card a bit too much.
I guess that can be understandable for a DS game, though. But that's just...too far, from the sound of it.

Oh for Christ's sake...
Please take a look at Nintendo's DS catalogue. What was the last game Nintendo made that was aimed at girls? Animal Crossing: Wild World is your answer. And how old is that game now?
Girls have bought MILLIONS of these consoles worldwide. Nintendo has made ONE game to appeal to them in about 2-3 years, and you complain that Nintendo's taking it too far.
Seriously... STFU now.

Animal Crossing Wild World was mostly aimed at girls? That's new. I play it quite a lot myself, though I'm a guy.

But that's just...too far, from the sound of it. @ BDi: IT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED TO BE RELEASED OUTSIDE OF JAPAN, READ MY POST IN THE FIRST PLACE BEFORE COMPLAING. @ Fryguy, you forgot Nintendogs that had like a 40-50% female install base. ;D

Eh, I'm sure this kind of game wouldn't. As long as these others bring out mostly good, enjoyable ways of gameplay, it's fair.
