After Yoshio Sakamoto and Nabeatsu (the comedian) they have added games from two more famous people - Bakataru Kato (real name Katsuaki Kato, Famitsu editor) and Kazutoshi Soyama (manga artist). Aside from Sakamoto, people that are virtually unknown in the West. When the game hits the named region, they might have to get people from there to make games. Maybe even separate ones for the Americas, Europe and Australia. Bah, still not any confirmation on a Western release for Made in Ore. And still no Moving Memo, too. Both are pieces of software that live entirely from user-generated content... On Moving Memo, this one is awesome. ;D

Sakurai makes a game for Made in Ore!
The microgame has nothing to do with Kirby or Smash Bros by the way.

For those who are interested, here I tried to romanize the entries in the list of famous people who made microgames: List in Super Mario WikiAs the third column tells, most people are magazine editors, none of which I knew before. The only three people I read about before were Sakamoto, Takahashi Meijin and Sakurai. Sakarai makes a game for Made in Ore! Is "Sakarai" some moniker for Sakurai? I ask because this spelling was even used by you in the subject of the Project Sora thread. Kat papercraft is pure awesomeness!

I think it's time to bump this thread up now that we've got more information. Some of the tools they've come up with for this game are amazing, if they work the way they're supposed to. I'm thinking especially of letting players just hum to create music.

When this game gets released, we should all share our microgames.
It'll be perfect for referencing 2nd-party games, memes or NinDB in-jokes ^_^

I have to admit, I'm still a little concerned over a WW game that only involves tapping on the touch screen and I know that direction buttons can be programmed on the touch screen as well, it just makes me wonder if this WW is going get old fast.
Also from the D-Toid article, a 4 player multiplayer mode is unlocked when linked up with WW Showcase on WiiWare. (as well as the 72 microgames from that game in DIY).

There's been some sort of media blowout on this! First, Iwata Laughs Asks! Several screens! You can find the trailers anywhere, but there are a couple of videos that are a bit hidden: Notes of interest: -This time, Treehouse is not changing "SPEED UP" to "FASTER!" -9-Volt's set contains a Pikmin game, while 18-Volt's has Punch-Out. Neither is in the Japanese games, so it looks like we're heading towards Famicom Detective Club -> Metroid squared. Maybe they'll change Famicom Wars to Advance Wars? (I wish. ) -It appears that the character limits for game names and descriptions has been doubled (this was a given).

Abe once said he used to take note everytime he came up with silly ideas for microgames. I'll take that as a good tip for when this comes out.
I wish the Showcase for the Wii were free.

WarioWare D.I.Y shows us that we can turn bounty hunter to a plumber for short period of time. (-l-=-)

Maybe they'll change Famicom Wars to Advance Wars? (I wish. ) Too bad, but that had to be expected. I wonder how they dealt with the Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland microgame, I hope they kept it at least in the European release (maybe it's even seen in the videos, but I don't want too much spoilers). At least we can rebuild the replaced microgames this time. Anyway, I'm glad that it will be finally released in Europe - a full year after the Japanese version (makes me hope that Tingle's Balloon Trip still has a chance). But say, does the game allow random effects in microgames? For example, one time, the object moves to the left, and the next time I play the game, it moves to the right?

Looking closely at the videos, Pikmin replaces Nazo no Murasame Jou (assuming the games are in the same place, but I don't see why they wouldn't). Though I'm more concerned about multilingual releases. Maybe NoA will break their recent string of trilingual releases. Who knows, maybe each Euro language gets it's own ROM, like with Elite Beat Agents. But say, does the game allow random effects in microgames? For example, one time, the object moves to the left, and the next time I play the game, it moves to the right? One of the puzzles in the Assembly Dojo deals precisely with that.

Apparently this is the first microgame contest for North America, but with a very special prize: Participants have the chance to win a trip to the Nintendo E3 Media Briefing. Only people from the US and Canada (excluding Quebec) are allowed to enter. It runs from 28th March to 16th May. Not all details have been revealed yet, but it was first announced through this print ad: gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=116717More details will follow at the American website.
