You heard me. All the regurgitated arguments and controversies over that matter...Put to rest in here. Just here. I just had to bring this in.
Let's get right to something else for now...
Step 1: Stages
What is it that makes a location in any game a good stage for another Smash Bros. game? Surely, we've seen all the stages in Brawl and Melee working just fine.
While a stage does have to have some importance to a certain series, think of the many gimmicks they have to offer as well.
Step 2: Items
What makes an object worthy of being an item in Smash? For instance, take many of Link's weapons in his many games. Are the rest of them good as items, or are they better off just being Link's moves? The occasional Smash original item may come around next time, too.
Step 3: Enemies & Bosses
I'm probably the only one who actually liked the Subspace things.
Sure, I'm all for other minor enemy and boss characters from other games, but I thought those guys to be quite cool. But anyway, who else from other games seems worthy of these positions?
Step 4: Trophies
Wait, don't go posting any blind lists! Three max per post, and explain why you think they'd be good fits into the collections of each series.
G'head.

Well I thought a Pokémon Ranch stage would be nice. Its a very "general Pokémon" type of stage. Simple with lots of Pokémon all around playing about, sounds nice. I'll post more about it later.

Hey, if you have time, it doesn't hurt to post more about it when you've thought more of it. What kinds of Pokemon would be there? Would they be throwable, should they wander into the playing area?

As for Pokemon Ranch I'd say for the most part the Pokemon wold be in the background only. It would be similar to Smashville, where the characters in the background are always different, but don't interfere. I think some of the goofy toys from My Pokemon Ranch should be on stage and change each battle. Sometimes you'll have a fountain in the center which will just lift a platform up and down. Sometimes it will be a spinning log. The stage is simple, nothing to terrible happens and it changes from night to day.
Remember not all stages have to be super complex with things always happening. In fact, half of the stages are easy going. Like Fox's Lylat Cruise, Pit's Sky World, or Snake's stage. Things happen things happen in those stages yes, but its not super hectic and crazy.

Pokemon Ranch? Now that's a good stage for the Pokemon series! I can't believe I haven't thought about that. I think we can expect yet another Pokemon Stadium stage. I'd rather it be named Pokemon Colosseum, seeing that there's no game called Pokemon Stadium 3. Maybe a stage from Marth's DS game would be good instead of a generic Castle Siege stage, I guess. I guess it could be the same, only without the changing rooms like in Brawl. The only part of Castle Siege I liked best was the first part because it actually resembles the world of Fire Emblem.

So you mean the Pokemon Ranch stage will be like [nobody's] Smashville? Also, the continuity of Fire Emblem is so Final Fantasy-like (in that there isn't really any) that a generic stage was quite called for, as far as I know. And as for bosses, there's such a vast wealth of gigantic characters that can fit the role well, but who of them would make the best fit? Certainly not every one of them, it would be an overload. Would Groudon and Kyogre fare well? Rayquaza sure did. Who else?

You know I think we here at NDB can make a better list of Pokeball Pokemon than Sakurai did. I mean, why did he have Entei and Suicune but not Raikou? Talk about unfair.

Meh, I can make a better trophy list (PM'age ftw). And that's true, that's kind of a "one can't exist without the other" deal. If certain characters are in a group together, then it's unfair to integrate only a few of them into Smash. It's best to go with them all.

I agree with your trophy list too. It covered things that shoulda been covered. Although I did feel you included a couple extras that weren't needed.

It is the toughest pick. Mainly because Nintendo has the widest selection of characters and objects imaginable. Common ones are a must, but all others are open as well.
For both Melee and Brawl, they pretty much went with whatever they could, a matter of grab bag. While the important elements are in, you're free to go with just about whatever else.

Why hasn't this been discussed yet so far on this board? I'd like to see what kind of enemy ideas you guys can come up with! I just remembered, the Zelda enemies change with every game. What designs should they use for a Smash Bros. adventure when it comes to Zelda enemies?

Actually they all were in there. Go look it up.
I wonder why they took out Chansey... or Eggs for that matter.

As far as bosses go, I'd like to see either Mad King Ashnard, the Black Knight or Ashera from the Fire Emblem series, since I'd think these would work fine. As for the pokeball pokemon, I'd go for Melee's list with Meowth, Latios/Latias from Brawl, and SS64's Hitmonlee. EDIT: Curse this lack of proper spoiler tags.
