What about crystal type Pokemon like the crystal Onix from the anime? Only difference (on the show) was that it was resistant to water but weak against fire (opposite of rock types) maybe the game could give more strengths/weaknesses to balance it out. (I know I've mentioned this before in past butI can't remember where...)

I only want nerfing some annoying types advantages (Dragon, Steel) and buff the weaker ones (Grass, Rock, Ice). The number of Steel types resistences are ridiculous being 12 and only 3 weaknesses? A few more types should resist Dragon type attacks since those moves are horrdeously strong. Also its sad that Poison moves are only effective against Grass while its resisted by a huge load of unfair things (Poison, Ground, Rock, Ghost, and Steel inmunity)
yeah, some type coverages have to be made so the game can be more balanced (and stop people from abusing Steel types usage).

One thing I absolutely hate is Steel types with Levitate. What's worse, a Steel/ Psychic type with Levitate. Not only are you immune to Ground, but you now have an advantage over Fighting!

Like Bronzong! With Bronzong, that seems to be intentional, though. Why else its other ability is Heatproof?
The Crystal Onix was perhaps a scoop of the Steel type because of the property that Fire beats crystal and Water doesn't damage it as much as it does Rock. I'd like to learn what else would make it different from Rock.

I've had another idea! I'd like to see a game that puts you in the shoes of Team Rocket!
You could build a secret base, get scientists to do weird experiments on Pokemon, try and get underworld connections into every town, investigate old ruins to try and find a legendary power to take over the world, beat up kids who challenge you....
Personally, I'd get my team of scientists to investigate ways to make humans "evolve" in the same way as Pokemon! Can you imagine what a stage 2 human would look like?

The problem with that is that we're about two generations past the Team Rocket era. Still, you reminded me that I'd like to see a Pokemon game in 3D that enables you to explore all the regions in full, from Kanto to Sinnoh, assuming they make it before yet another region is added to the mix.

Customizable trainer, co-op play where you can have up to 8 or 16 people all running around the region at the same time, twice as many attacks, and more status effects.
Honestly, I'm content with just slight changes and more Pokemon each gen. Only MOAR is what I want, y'know? I could use a few new types, while they're at it (though any type ideas I've seen so far all suck and can be covered by dual-type combos easily)

There's some sort of arcade Pokemon game where you can battle 3 vs 3 at a time, right? I'd like something like that while adding more and different supporting skills for different Pokemon. That or just make a 6 vs 6 Tactics Ogre style spinoff game.

That arcade game would be Pokémon Battrio. I have no idea how Pokémon moves work in it, but since moves that damage two targets have their damage reduced, I guess the same could apply for more Pokémon per team in a future game.
I imagine a MMO is very possible in systems with microphones for online play, and it could work as a spin-off where you use your Pokémon from the main versions. One thing I'm not sure is what would be best to control in a MMO: a Trainer? Or a Pokémon (like in Mystery Dungeon)?

I'd love a SSB-style game with famous Pokemon like Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Meowth, Mewtwo, and Lucario. I imagine famous locations like Mt. Moon and Lake of Rage would be visually stunning in 3D like Spear Pillar was in Brawl. Though Pokemon doesn't really have a variety of items since they don't change Pokemon's sizes or let them use lasers and bombs. I doubt Nintendo would do something like this but its nice to dream.

Pokemon fighter eh? I guess if there were a Pokemon game with real-time combat it would be kinda like that...

That would be awesome. But it would need to support all Pokémon and not just a few ones. Unless those few ones are all the existing fully evolved forms or Pokémon that don't evolve, like in the Japanese Pokémon Stadium.
It should also support most moves and abilities if possible, either for rental Pokémon or Pokémon that you trained in the main games.

Support all Pokemon in a SSB-style game? I'm not sure if that would work with certain Pokemon... some of them aren't physically built as SSB-style fighters. You know, like Magikarp and Metapod? Anyway, back to regular Pokemon games... I would like to be able to know exactly how many EV points my Pokemon have at any time and also be able to check my Pokemon's level of happiness at any time. I don't like having to go all the way to a certain location where a certain person lives at so that he or she would tell me my Pokemon loves or hates me. And I'd like new types and maybe change some Pokemon's types. I expected Volbeat would be Bug-Electric, not just Bug. They did that with Magnemite and Magneton. They used to be Electric but then in Gold/Silver, they became Electric-Steel, so why not with some Pokemon? There are 493 Pokemon right? So, I think it might be reasonable to expect at least 107 new Pokemon for a total of 600 Pokemon. Man, that's a lot of Pokemon to catch, train, breed, and evolve.

Days ago, while reading Pokémon sites of the past, I came across one of the second generation that didn't even use the term "EV points". Obviously, that was because the Effort Ribbon hadn't been introduced yet. The author of the site used to call them "stat experience points" or "stat points" as opposed to the level-up experience points. Like Old Man Rupee said, there could exist alternate ways to gain experience, and I think this could used for what we know as effort value points if Game Freak decides them to be more explicit in the future, using a term like "stat points".
Arcadenik, you can now measure the happiness of your Pokémon with this generation's portable device in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.
