Yes but Kaepora is the "reincarnation" of a sage. Meaning a sage died and was reborn as the owl. Rauru is still alive, even if he did project himself as an owl outside the realm, this wouldn't be "reincarnation"

Rauru can't be reincarnated into something in his past, that doesn't make sense! It would be a paradox! It just isn't possible!
*whooshing*
...oh, great.. now look what you've done...

Here's a couple of new bits of information regarding the game.-Takes place "about a century" after Phantom Hourglass (Here's hoping they explain what happened to the Great Sea) -The Train can be upgraded -You gain the ability to lay down your own tracks I'm somewhat surprised Nintendo has been so quiet about this game, considering it comes out in a little over a month.

Rauru is still alive, even if he did project himself as an owl outside the realm, this wouldn't be "reincarnation" Elijah was taken into heaven, essentially, he never died. Jesus referred to John the Baptist (who's birth is mentioned in one of the gospels) as Elijah's reincarnation. Rauru exists in the Sacred Realm. Kaepora exists in Hyrule. Knowing that, then as long as Rauru had at one point existed in Hyrule, the relationship between Rauru and Kaepora could be the same as what Jesus said of Elijah and John the Baptist.

Why is the European box better and the American one lame? Oh right... Not enough American Kirby tough on it.

Why is the European box better and the American one lame? Oh right... Not enough American Kirby tough on it. Come now, you know by now that NOA has been lazy and retarded like that all the time. Oh, the examples I could mention. Anyway, about fugging time. These itty bits of info may have got it out of the woodwork, but here's to more on the game. Any word on when exactly it releases?

I personally find both boxarts to be good in there own ways. The PAL one reminds me of Professor Layton for some reason. December 7th here, the 11th for Europe. And the next Nintendo Power is supposed to show a lot more content from the game. (I'd post links, but i'm on my Wii, and god knows I lack the patience to write a URL with this thing )

Actually, that American boxart is rated "RP" (Rating Pending), which usually indicates it is not the final boxart. I've seen too many "not final boxarts" in my time running this site that I refuse to accept RP boxes any more.

Awwright, that European boxart is great.
I'm still a little wary of this game, though... and I'm not sure why.

I'm still a little wary of this game, though... and I'm not sure why. Just hazarding a guess... but perhaps because Phantom Hourglass was a decent enough game, but quite ugly, the boat sections were extremely linear, the dungeon you had to continuously return to and beat within a time limit was ridiculous, and the dungeons didn't really take advantage of the input to provide any puzzles that felt genuinely new. This looks like Phantom Hourglass 1.5... I enjoyed Phantom Hourglass, but I breezed through it, and found the bad things were really quite bad, while the good things were few and far between. I don't see how adding a train will help, and having you control Phantoms suggests to me that you will once again be returning to the same dungeon over and over... Bleeeurgh! More in the style of Minish Cap would be welcome.
