Back then everyone I knew either went with the 'blue crocodile' or the 'fire mole', because both were way cooler then a 'potato with legs'.
I think I'll pick the potato instead of the crocodile this time. Just to change it up a little.

Since I picked Tododile in Gold and Chikorita in Crystal, I'll probably go with Cyndaquil. I've never chosen Chikorita. Thinking about choosing it makes me question my sexuality. I'm glad that I didn't have to question that even so.  |

Funny - I never chose Chikorita cuz I think it looks like grassy butts ;D Though it's still better off than Treecko, which actually has a butt on its head. And I'd pick Chikorita over any of the 4Gen starters XD |

RSE was the only gen I didn't take the Fire type in. I went with Treecko in Ruby and Mudkip in Emerald. Which is strange, because of those starters, Blaziken is the only final form I'm particularly fond of.
Grovyle is so much cooler than Combusken.

I almost always go for the water type starter. Squirtle, Totodile and Mudkip were awesome. Then I picked Piplup, which promptly ruined the game for me. Stupid, weak-ass penguin!
Feraligatr (still think it should have been Feraligate) was a very cool looking 'mon. He's gonna chomp u!

Squirtle, Totodile and Mudkip were awesome. I agree with this so much that I want it on my tombstone. I didn't really appreciate Squirtle until FRLG. I did pick Charmander, but I got a Squirtle egg from a friend, and that little guy was amazing. |

But in DPP, my main team ended up with the other two starters and Totodile as a water type, so I won't be picking Totodile this time. And I'm a Cyndaquil in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon so I probably won't go with him again. So... Chikorita it is? |

Yeah, well I may be gay, but at least when I evolve it into a Meganium I'll have the coolest gayest brontosaurus around. I'm going to call my Chikorita Gaylord now. Or my character. Or everything. |

It doesn't really matter that you were kidding, I wasn't really taking you seriously XD I don't like the way Chikorita looks, but I don't actually hate it. I've never bothered training it, so I don't have a grasp on how good/bad it actually is...then again, maybe that's excuse enough for me to give it a shot this time around? (I do hate the DPP starters, though. While Torterra looks awesome, and I kinda like the way Piplup and Empoleon are designed, they all have such weak-ass stats and learn such weak-ass moves that training them is more of a hassle than not.) |
