Whoa whoa whoa...a level 36 Bulbasaur? Evolve that summabitch!
Anyways, I'd have this game by now if I wasn't flat broke. America is the worst place right now when you need a job. Jeez.

That's an awesomem team, TEi. Makes me think of the Kaiju team I'm going to run later on. One question: Why's Bulbasaur Needleman?

Whoa whoa whoa...a level 36 Bulbasaur? Evolve that summabitch! Fuck no, dude! XD I love Bulbasaur, but Ivysaur and Venusaur can go eat a dick. I'd rather have the reduced HP and stats in exchange for something that's aesthetically pleasing. That's an awesomem team, TEi. Makes me think of the Kaiju team I'm going to run later on. One question: Why's Bulbasaur Needleman? As you can probably tell, I name my team Pokemon after Robot Masters, and Needleman came about following a shortage of grass-themed ones. I'd already done Woodman in my Pearl playthrough (Leafeon), I didn't really feel like using Plantman, and neither Hornetman nor Searchman were very fitting...with those in mind, I went to my fallback inspiration, Megaman Battle Network: in that series, Needleman was a Grass-type Navi and was very closely tied to plants with thorns. Liking BN Needleman over Classic Plantman sealed the deal. ;D

Trivia: the Pokéwalker connection theme is the Game Boy Printer connection theme.

Wow, Lyra called to tell me her Marill had evolved. I went to her house to find out it was still a Marill.
Her call wasn't triggered by any major task I completed, so I suspected this could happen.

Even crazier, Johans, you can get that call more than once. Apparently she's devo, cuz that thing has evolved three times for me.

Way to douche it up, Underwear. Insert whiny defensive tirade by Fry or TV Eye here. As uneducated as I am on the matter, what is this all about anyway?

A rimshot? It's a drum technique used to signify a joke. Instant Rimshot just gives us net folks an instant rimshot.
If you're asking what the joke was, it was the terrible pun in Johan's post above mine.

The Yellow Forest distribution ended yesterday, and today starts the distribution of a different Route in America and PAL regions: The Winner's Path. The Winner's Path contains several Pokémon with rare moves and rare held items. For more information, check the official American site.

I've just used the Wi-Fi Connection, and The Yellow Forest is still online, which is 2:40 AM EST here in my hometown.

I've just used the Wi-Fi Connection, and The Yellow Forest is still online, which is 2:40 AM EST here in my hometown. Yeah, they seem to update those things a bit later. After being in Mahogany Town's Gym, I noticed two things: 1) Pryce's dialog still says the Glacier Badge raises Special Attack and Special Defense! Badges aren't meant to do that anymore. 2) One of the Trainers states Pryce no longer trains by standing under a waterfall, but that he sits on cold ice instead. This is likely because Chuck already does that in his Gym (wasn't Chuck's boulder-hurling more awesome anyway?).

Owners of the Europe and North American games can now download an event Jirachi as a Wi-Fi Mystery Gift. Same as the Jirachi that has been given away at certain stores, this Jirachi knows the otherwise Dragon-type-exclusive move Draco Meteor and comes with a Liechi Berry. Like any other Jirachi, it unlocks the Night Sky's Edge in the list of Pokéwalker Routes.
Other curious things I've found out comparing with Gold/Silver/Crystal: - A Trainer at Route 35 implies that Pokémon that flee right away are easily catchable with Kurt's Fast Ball. This is no longer true, as in HeartGold/SoulSilver, the condition for Fast Ball to work better is that the target Pokémon has a high Speed base stat.
- The Abra Trainer at the Pokémon League no longer teleports you to New Bark, because you can now freely use Fly to return to that town, something impossible in Gold/Silver/Crystal. However, he appears again at the Sinjoh Ruins and does teleport you back to New Bark, since Fly can't be used from there.
- Between Gold and Silver, Phanpy and Donphan used to be exclusive to Silver and Teddiursa and Ursaring used to be exclusive to Gold. This was switched for HeartGold and SoulSilver.
- The Power Plant is no longer visible from the Pokémon Center at Route 10. An Ace Trainer comments on that (I believe she commented in Gold/Silver/Crystal that it was visible).
- At the Pal Park entrance, you're told you can export "Pokémon from Hoenn or another region". This is for GBA games, which were set on either Hoenn (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald) or Kanto (FireRed/LeafGreen). However, since the Pal Park is already in Kanto, they are vague by saying "another region".
