I was so excited by the ball and chain that I attempted to use it as my primary weapon in as many circumstances as possible! SMASHY SMASHY! It's not very effective when you're fending off the crows in Kakariko Village. >_> BUT otherwise it was nifty and ultimately wound up taking space when it wasn't appropriate at ALL for further dungeons.

I just want elemental arrows to return. There are so many things you can do with those think of the puzzles!

Eh, I dunno, it made a fairly useful weapon on the crows, too. Just never throw the thing and when they attack, SMASH! Bye-bye, birdy! I actually constantly have it in my inventory, along with the Double Clawshot and the Bow. I actually don't have much use for many of the items, but then again, I didn't have much use for many of the items in OoT, since most of them were ammo-based. I pretty much just went Longshot/Hammer/Ocarina. No one messed with me, because I had ridiculous range on one end, ridiculous power on the other, and if anyone got out of Hammer range, well, I also had my BFS, the almighty Biggoron Sword (which, by the way, I would like back one of these days.)

I adore Twilight Princess. It's my second favorite Zelda of all time. I thought the world was amazing, the music phenomenal (and REALLY wish more people thought higher of it, because a lot of it is quite awesome), the combat fantastic, and the majority of dungeons excellent. The only issues I have with it is one we've discussed a bit - there's a feeling of...incompleteness that surrounds it. Weapons and gadgets that are only useful in scant situations, some gameplay aspects that are underdeveloped (using the falcon, for one), and the last two dungeons, arguably the two that should be the most fascinating, are over way too fast. Despite that, though, I LOVE TP. You'll rarely see me knock it. Wind Waker, on the other hand...

On the subject of The Wind Waker, I know a lot of people complain about the sailing, but I actually only have a problem with the Triforce scavenger hunt at the end. I really quite enjoyed jumping in the little boat and seeing what I could find out there on the uncharted ocean.
Something that was missing from Phantom Hourglass, sadly.

The Tingle Triforce Shard Parade. God, I hated that. XD The sailing I think was fine to that point, and then it all went downhill.

I only played Twilight Princess on the GameCube. I now think I could have enjoyed it more if I had played the Wii version.
I still enjoyed it, though. I liked the Double Clawshot, the magnetic walls & ceilings, the amount of chicken worshipping, and the overall dark feel of the game. I liked a lot of the music, too. The Shadow Beast song is one of my favorites.

Yeah about the sailing, I absolutely love exploring in video games. Finding secrets, hunting for treasure. One of the reasons I love Zelda.

It was a bit of a rubbish way to acquire the Triforce, when they could have given us an extra dungeon or something... but it was the fact you had to go get your maps translated by Tingle for a fortune every time, which led to Rupee harvesting when you got down to the last few of them! Urgh!

I really quite enjoyed jumping in the little boat and seeing what I could find out there on the uncharted ocean. That's all well and good, that was part of the fun for me, too, but when it got to the point that you'd explored all of the sectors and you needed to get to one that was five squares away from the nearest warp point, then it got obnoxious. How come there couldn't have been warps for every square, or at least every other square, limited to the squares you've already been too? That way you aren't FORCED to go sailing once you've discovered a particular area, but the option is still available to you if you want it. And I never really had trouble with rupees because while I was out searching for Triforce shards, I'd also look out for things marked on the Treasure Maps. Those usually had an awesome Rupee count, so by the time I needed another map translated I already had what I'd needed.

Both of you hit on vital points that I disdained about that exercise. GAH! XD If either of those aspects were better thought out, it probably wouldn't have been so annoying. Alas...

So, to summarize, we're talking a phone sword and the possibility of no Master.

No Master Sword could mean this takes place post ALttP. At the end of that game, it says that the Master Sword sleeps for the rest of time. Just throwin' that out there.

Alternatively, it could be another OoT-LttP midquel, possibly indicating a lack of Ganon or that Master's not his only weakness.
