Now that will be cool. I love the parks. Frontier Land a ghost town?
The only thing I'm worried is if this game will really happen. Then again we've seen some pretty insane unthinkable things in in our time. Mario and Sonic together at the Olympic, Banjo in a blocky vehicle based game, Disney and FF characters in one game... Pretty wierd stuff.

Disney is very unlikely to let this pass through, on account of them preserving the image of being for everyone nowadays. To get Kingdom Hearts done, Squaresoft had to split ownership on all FF characters in the game.
That said, as a die hard Disney fanatic, I love the idea of this. Horace Horsecollar and all the other forgotten characters were always favorites of mine, and the theme parks being carried by Monstro was bone-chilling. Goofy robot too.
Would Blizzard Beach be burn to a crisp? ;P

The studio is owned by Disney, so for this game to have even made it to the stage that concept art is on the internet and a platform has been decided on, it must have been approved by higher-ups.
It really wasn't that long ago that Disney made Runaway Brain, a cartoon that was quite happy to show the monkey professor get burned to a crisp leaving behind nothing but a skeleton. And not a cartoon "Oops, better gather my skin back up!" skeleton, an actual dead monkey skeleton. You guys are talking like Disney are 4Kids, when they're actually pretty much the only animation company left not afraid to show real guns or characters dying on screen. XD

Actually, Disney now is all that Hannah Montana and High School Musical bullshit. This is why I'm skeptical about this. Though, I do know how dark Disney can get.

Nah, that's just what Disney Channel is now. And Disney's live-action movies have always been shit. Disney's more recent animated movies haven't been that bad. Besides, though it's owned by Disney, this game company isn't actually Disney. It'd be more accurate to compare it to Pixar. And thinking about it, a lot of this concept art reminds me of Sid's Toys.

I keep forgetting Pixar is part of Disney nowadays. I wonder if any of their characters would show up in a game like this.

Runaway Brain was 1995, and Disney has ignored using it in anything now. It doesn't exist to them.
Mickey's become an anti personality character in risk of being non family friendly.

I don't know I thought House of Mouse got Mickey back on the personality train.

I thought Mickey had plenty personality in Twice Upon a Christmas and Three Musketeers. He's turned into a very happy and optimistic character who's constantly downtrodden and unlucky. Which I find pretty funny.
Speaking of which, I saw Three Musketeers recently, and it reminded me a lot of the older less kid-friendly Disney cartoons. When Pete put Donald in the guillotine and tried to drown Mickey, it was made very clear that they were going to die, and wasn't sugar-coated at all.

I don't think Square was so desperate to get the game made that they were willing to let Disney run off with Cloud.

Maybe I didn't understand it then, but from a little kid's perspective, I just thought it was weird (I think I was around 3 to 6 years old when I first saw it). And also, the scene from Pinocchio where they turn into donkeys truly did scare me when I saw it at around that age. If you wanna see a creepy Disney movie, it's called The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Just to say, I fear that this game may end like a Disney movie: Happy happy joy joy. I can't remember the last Disney movie to end on a down note. In fact, I don't think there even are any. This game can be as dark as it wants, but if it ends relatively happy, I'll be annoyed. That's my only beef with Disney animated movies. Disney's tooners are generally good.
Well, that and the whole "Edit the plot to be more kid-friendly" thing. My favorite example is Cinderella. Cinderella's step-family were pecked to death by birds and her step-sisters mutilated their feet to fit in the slipper. Pretty much EVERY version says so.
