gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=185823&st=010 scans of Disney classical goodness. Mickey looking retro and epic, Oswald looking fantastic in 3D, the gremlings from the Hitler cartoon, Oswald's burden-filling kids from a few of his shorts, a Hades headed drone, THE MAD DOCTOR from one of the scariest Mickey shorts, and Pete in drag. The style is absolute Disney and it's for the fans. Warren's like me in that he hates modern Mickey (I like KH's Mickey though) and this will bring Mickey back to the 20's/30's feel of him being a happy prick. Which is what I've wanted for YEARS now. Can I BE any more excited?!

The Gremlins are in it. Oh God, that's brilliant. They're beyond forgotten- they were never even officially used. Also, Pete was an Oswald villian before he fought Mickey, or hell, Mickey was around. I wonder if that will come up? Also, the Lonesome Ghosts better be in the Haunted Mansion...

Can I BE any more excited?! Your excitement with your hyperactive AVGN avatar makes for a funny combo. Doesn't look as dark as the sketches, but awesome nonetheless. The 'I want it to scare kids' sounds good too. Hope the actual gameplay won't let me down. Also fuck yeah Dutch Pete

Yes, he was. His first appearance was in "Alice Solves the Puzzle" as Bootleg Pete. He appeared in some of the later made Oswald shorts too.

Mm.
Lonesome Ghosts would indeed be great in the haunted area... Right now I'm mainly hoping for Donald characters to show like Scrooge and Humphrey the Bear.

Most of those ten scans in that thread are broken.

Oh my. Those graphics remind me of the Pac-Man World series. No, that's not a good thing.
It certainly doesn't live up to that gorgeous concept art that's also in those scans. I guess I'll have to wait and see if the gameplay is worth it.

People out there are complaining that it doesn't look "dark enough" and that it looks "too cartoony". Am I flipping my wig or something? I'm perfectly OK with what I saw.

I have no problem with the cartooniness... it's the fact that the character models look incredibly out of date that bugs me. I feel like I'm looking at renders from the N64 days.

I like 'em, but then again I'm a sucker for anything 90s.

It looks great, but at the same time it reminds me of the fact that Gex 'looked great' on the N64 and it was a piece of trash With luck, Epic Mickey will be a quality title in both gameplay and graphical design.

Guys, this game doesn't come out for another year- look at the release date: Fall 2010. I think there is a reason the models look early-ish.
