Notice anything? Kinda going in chronological order... The problem? I don't think I own Super Paper Mario any more. Anyone able to get me screenshots from this? Anyone actually willing to suffer through it again? I could get screenshots but I have to ask first, do you have some kind of minimal quality requirement for screenshots? I don’t exactly have the greatest capture device ever...

Considering that most of the screenies on the site are taken on my old crappy capture device, not really, but then I'm trying to make them a bit nicer these days.
Nevertheless, I may steal my girlfriend's copy of Super Paper Mario (and Wii Fit) to get the screens from those games. Which means... *ulp* playing it again...

I might get a Hauppauge soon and help with some Wii titles. I just need to think of how to make the investment not that painful... Maybe I could use it to earn money recording Pokémon or Brawl matches in tournaments $_$

Don't know if this was pointed out, but the Rally Romper from Mario Kart Wii is called Hotto Rarī in Japan, which is engrish for Hot Rally, giving it an even bigger reference to 3D Hot Rally.

Excellent! I shall include that in my next rounds.
Currently working on SNES. Trying to get fresh screens of all the cameos, as well as rewriting some of the information pages.

If you need any more SNES screens, just drop me a line. Shouldn't me too difficult to get any of them, really.

I have most of them now, but still a few of the later ones to take. I'm retaking the Picross NP ones, for example.

This might be pretty well known, but I started playing Super Paper Mario, and when Fracktail malfunctions due to Dimentio's tinkering, he says "I AM ERROR. PRESS ANY KEY TO RESTART." I AM ERROR, of course being the infamous line from Zelda 2. D'oh, just found this thread. I knew it was pretty obvious.

Throwing out a potential cameo - Kirby's Epic Yarn's latest trailer shows off what appears to be a Pitfall from Animal Crossing. It's around 0:23 in this clip: I'll take a screengrab of it later. Edit - It pops up again later, and is used to make some lights appear, so I don't think it was all that inspired by Animal Crossing, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to mention it. It looks like one, and made me think of Animal Crossing.

I've just updated the first post. Can everyone take a look and see if there are any areas you can help with? I feel I should get SMG out of the way.

I thought the one who submitted the Mario animations on the Wii Shop Channel was Old Man Rupee but I can't find that very old post. Perhaps the rare swimming animation is worth mentioning. The developers themselves have commented about it here. TMK mentions them all here.

You are apparently able to collect CDs of music in Epic Yarn. The only one I know of ATM is Butter Building. Presumably the remix of that song from the stage and not the original from Adventure, though.
In addition the Star Chariot from KSS returns. This one might be blurring the lines a bit too much though.

Just saw this image from NeoGAF of DKCR.Classic NES DK with a Wii Remote above its head in the background top right corner of the image. I'm not too sure what game the pose comes from though. EDIT: I got it! The pose is taken from DK holding numbers over his head in Donkey Kong Jr Math!! (though it's been mirrored).

Just realised another feature about the NES DK monument is that it has been modified!
It has DK's classic red tie!
(as well as a few brown pixels removed on the pecs of his chest, and I think the limbs might be slightly longy and the crest on his head more pronounced).
If Cranky Kong was the original classic DK, maybe these little modifications would help differentate between the two.
