Hate to be a Grimer, Arcadenik, but how do you define "canon" in this case?

What, you think Smash is canon? That every Nintendo character is actually a trophy, and that Solid Snake and Kirby exist in the same universe?

I never said that it was.

Hate to be a Grimer, Arcadenik, but how do you define "canon" in this case? His point clearly is that just because a character didn't do something - such as wearing a jogging suit to fight, not just to train - in their 'canon' games doesn't mean they couldn't in Smash Bros, particularly in this case as it is a 'canon' outfit he does actually wear in the game. ...seriously, do you actually read any posts?

Something to do with you not reading posts and responding to them with whatever inane shit you have in your head, even though they're rarely related at all.

Actually, that points out another possibility. Maybe we could have an Urban Champion/Punch-Out remix of some kind, so you get the best of both worlds (i.e., manholes and flowerpots, but also Doc Louis riding his bike.) You know, kinda like how the Summit has that damned dirty fish in the water? It wouldn't be too far off, if you think about it. It could be considered a sort of "If the camera were on the other side" thing. It could have both Punch-Out and Urban Champion music. And while we're at it, other games of that sort (cartoony design, realistic fighting sort of thing) could make cameos. Like how Ice Climber has adopted similarly-styled NES games like Balloon Fight and Clu Clu Land. I'm with the idea of a Manhatten street that could serve as a PO stage and have some references to UC.

I wonder if SSB4 would ever have convertable stages? They would mostly be about one game, but when you change the music to one from a different game, the stage would slightly change, allowing SSB4 to represent more franchises/games and save disc space. For an idea of a beach stage different from the Delfino Plaza, this other beach stage would mostly represent The Legendary Starfy series, but will sometimes represent the Wave Race series, and if Nintendo would allow video games not released in Japan, the StarTropics series. You know I had something like that in my mind, only slight changes just to fit the song better. For example Kirby's Halberd stage taking place in blue daylight while that forest tune is playing. Oh and while there's no sign of SSB4 for a long time, I'll be dissapointed if there isn't going to be a Rythm Heaven stage in the future. It'll be like Warioware only without people going invincible 5 times in a row.

I still see it ludicrous to have that tune on that stage. They just needed to bring out another Kirby stage. Initially, I thought it was the music on the Spear Pillar stage that affected whether Dialga or Palkia will appear! That annoyed me the most about the WarioWare stage. It makes you want to lose the microgames.

Well, the "music + environment changes" are already seen in the Yoshi's Island stage of Brawl. I say it could be done to a bigger scale. If the idea was brought wanting a Mt. Dedede reference, I think you could do this as well: Event #n Mr. Dream Land
- This looks tough, Doc! - Don't give up, Mac! You should know how to deal with obese kings!
Available characters: Little Mac Stage: WVBA World Circuit Song: King Dedede's Theme The Fountain of Dreams is enough to me as a semi-Dedede stage, though ^_^

I still maintain that the Fountain of Dreams stage in Melee was butt-ugly and hardly resembled it's in-game counterpart. I also still maintain that the Teleroboxer stage would work best for Punch-Out!! rep.

I don't know, this one looks a bit too.....well, plain. I'd have to say the Melee version (subsequently used in the remake, no doubt) looks more dynamic. Not sure about ugly or not, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? Still, I would have loved to see this stage in Brawl. Kirby, Meta Knight, and Dedede all over here. Epicest brawl ever.

Kirby and Dedede all over here. IT IS SO ON IT'S OFF.
I like how happy the NES version looked. Melee's Fountain was a Stephen King crack-binge.

.....................I thought Melee's was beautiful.
The original doesn't look like a Fountain of Dreams to me. It looks like a... Barbie Fountain.

If I saw the Fountain of Dreams in MY dreams, I'd take the NES version. It's happy and bright. Hell, that's what Kirby's been about the entire time: Happy and bright. I mean, the basic plot of the games make a fairly chipper series, even in the games where the final boss is a giant bleeding eyeball with wings. Why should the Fountain be all dark and gloomy?
