Potential main cast teammate returns? It'd be pretty surprising if, say, Butterfree returned. That did happen with Charizard in the third movie and it was great It's been 6 years since Munchlax's debut. A new Pokémon would be so welcome.

From SPP The final details of CoroCoro have come out, with thanks to yaminokame for translation, and they indicate that the next issue, due for release on Feburary 15th, is set to reveal the Key Pokémon for the upcoming movie; Phantom Champion Z is to be revealed. CoroCoro states that people will be surprised at its appearance in the movie. It is unknown if it will be a new Pokémon or if it will be a previous Pokémon. We'll bring more as it comes What could one be surprised at? People think its Ash from the future.

That was shown a few weeks ago.

Really, I enjoy the Pokemon movies, or at least the ones I've seen; they just have this epic storytelling feel that the anime can't capture, and the animation quality as a whole is much more tolerable. Not to mention Ash is significantly less retarded! I sort of wish the anime would live up to that.

Mewtwo? He seems like a "phantom challenger" to me!

I was thinking Mewtwo For no particular reason (unless it is that I miss him).

Again from SPP Famitsu has recently updated from the World Hobby Fair and included the above picture featuring a variety of plushies to tie in with the upcoming movie; Phantom Champion Z. Like the previous merchandise, these had two question marks hinting some more Pokémon will be entered into the product line. These two question marks feature the text NEWポケモンぬいぐるみ 映画登場ポケモン(A) & ポケモンぬいぐるみDP 映画登場ポケモン(B) which translates to NEW Pokémon Plush Pokémon appearing in the movie (A) & Pokémon Plush DP Pokemon appearing in the movie (B) respectively, with thanks to yaminokame for translation. This indicates that we will likely see a new Pokémon or at the very least, a new form of a Pokémon in the movie. While this is not confirmed, I figure you would would find it interesting. CoroCoro is set to reveal the Key Pokémon of the upcoming movie in their issue due for release on February 15th. We'll bring more as it comes.

And now we play the waiting game.
Ah, the waiting game's boring. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos!
Seriously, gimme a bad-ass piece of mammalian megafauna. I'd like to see a bison or a moose.

Maybe they're wicked versions of Ho-Oh and Lugia. It would be great to finally see XD001 in the anime.

Pokémon Sunday has just finished airing in Japan and in the preview for next weeks episode, it shows Junichi Masuda revealling something. This corresponds with his blog post yesterday saying he'll be on to reveal about the new games. The episode of Pokémon Sunday is to feature the cast trying to work out whom the key character in the upcoming movie is. It is unknown if the reveal is for that or for the brand new games announced yesterday. We'll bring more on this as it comes

You can just make out the logo on that card he's holding up, and I see a problem... It says "Pokemon".
Why is that a problem? Because in Japan the main series is always written out as "Pocket Monster", while only spinoffs are shortened to "Pokemon".
I expect he's introducing a spinoff title...

God I hop it's not another shitty Ranger or Mystery Dungeon game. Or a shitty game at all. Unfortunately, it's too soon following the releases of Diamond and Pearl for a fifth gen, so it's not very likely...
Tho I did see a picture of fake Farfetch'd and Delibird evolutions. The Farfetch'd evo look incredibly badass! Like a samurai, you know? When I have access to my external harddrive, I'll show you guys.

If it's a spin-off, then it would be a whole new one. Ranger 3 was announced separately less than two weeks ago, and it doesn't sound like a Mystery Dungeon 4.
But new Pokémon species? I'm certain we'll see them next time.
Post any fakemon you may find. It's also part of the hype ^_^
