 I'm in your forums, making topics before you. So yeah, this is a Mistwalker RPG published by Nintendo, which has a name that totally doesn't sound anything like any other RPG. Teaser site. Teaser site's been updated with some new music and pretty artwork. Because you guys are clearly interested in this. And a few tidbits of info: - Luli Island is the setting for the game - continent is surrounded by mountain ranges - only accessible point is the island port - heavily fortified island port - the ruler of the island seeks magic as a way to rise in power - the town of Luli is prosperous, while other towns are suffering - the town's wealth is related to magic - the magic is starting to attract monsters - metal resources are scarce - Sakaguchi is trying to limit the influence of sci-fi on the game (Word) - Luli island is bathed in sunlight

I can't believe they're calling it "The Last Story"! I presume you can breed Candybos as well! I can't wait for their follow-up RPGs "Wyrm Adventure", "Time Firing-Mechanism" and "Pouch Mutants" (Pochémut)!
Still... Nintendo's really gone for the whole RPG thing, eh?

Wow. You are right, Rupee. It really does look good! But "The Last Story" sounds too similar to "Final Fantasy", haha. It is nice we have synonyms. So, this game is Nintendo's new IP or is Nintendo just publishing it and it belongs to another company? |

Another site update, with the full version of that piece of music, and (Wait for it...) new artwork. Not that I don't appreciate the artistic abilities of Mistwalkers employees, but a trailer would really be nice.

Aye, I'd like to see some in-game action, truth be told. The art is amazing, that it is, but I'd like to see if they artistry is carrying over to the game or not.

Well, it took them long enough, but Famitsu's finally come through and given us a couple screenshots.Looks cool enough. Still waiting on mah trailer. |
