With still no anouncement of a western release, (though Mistwalker's Twitter account keeps making posts about TLS in English instead of Japanese, possible hint maybe?) it looks like the fans have kicked in and started an online petition to have NOA localise the game.Currently at 3329 signitures.

I'm signature nº 3567. But I ask myself, does NoA ever notice these online petitions and ever work towards the petition's goal? I like a good game as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't buy a japanese version of the game.
Still (vainly) awaiting western Mother 3 release, considering that I've already played and finished it via Emulation&Fan Translation. Of course, that game has a different motive for not being released in the West. I just hope this game doesn't fall into that same type of game, that's never released outside of Japan, despite the amount of gamers who want it.

You mean you seriously believe they'll eventually release MOTHER 3 here?

Hey now, no need to troll the guy. He made it clear he knows his waiting is in vain. Petition or not, I'd be pretty damn surprised if this didn't make it's way over here eventually. Minus Zelda, (DQX ain't coming this year. Quote me on that.) there aren't a lot a high-profile Wii games coming out this year. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Last Story is part of Nintendo's holiday line-up this year. (With Xenoblade filling the Galaxy 2 slot perhaps? I can dream, right? XD)

Review score from Famitsu!
10/10/9/9 (38/40) Not bad, hopefully this should encourage the Japanese to buy it.
Also the petition is current up to 9188 signatures! Wow!
Also 3 commercials. The live action version of one of the battles, is defintiely the best one (at 1:04)

How about 15 MINUTES of gameplay shown off by the Gooch himself?

Hey, I broke that story, yo. XD Well, I had heard it from elsewhere, but I did some actual reporting and found that out a few days before GoNintendo did!

I kid - I'm glad RMC spread the news as well. The downside is that Nintendo did this a year ago. Hopefully something truly good will come of it!
(and thanks for visiting my site at all! ;D I truly appreciate it!)

It's not really new, this has been known since at least late last year.
This doesn't mean anything though, NoA has websites registered for Mother 3, and Disaster.

Don't think that this means I have doubts about an international release for the game. I can tell you that just based on the budget for this game and Xenoblade, they were made with the intention of selling to the international markets.
