If you've been following the activity here at all, you'll know that I have been working on some projects to expand on the level of information available on NinDB. Well, today the first efforts have gone online, alongside a few design tweaks to make the website a little less... bleurgh! Shin Onigashima and Yuuyuuki have been completely updated with complete rewrites of game page information, cameo lists and the English-speaking walkthroughs for Shin Onigashima, Heisei: Shin Onigashima and Yuuyuuki, all of which I have worked really hard to compile. There is, of course, more information that could go on these pages. I want to do a little more work on the game pages, include staff rolls and soundtrack information and perhaps some character lists, but this will get me started for the time being. After all... I'm getting a little bored of staring at these games now. So check out nindb.net and let me know what you think of these latest updates!

This is great, Fry. I'm actually one of those who's always wanted to see NinDB deliver this kind of information, and I greatly appreciate it.

Incredible work. I am looking forward to what else NinDB has in store for the future.

Wow! The new direction seems like a good idea. Also, I love the new banner. Excellent!
Edit: I just noticed that the Yuuyuuki page has cameos from other games in it. That's a fantastic idea.

The Shin Onigashima page has a similar cameos page as well. I'm so glad it's going down well. I knew I had to do something, but I couldn't afford to spend the time trawling through the entire website and making blanket changes to it... and this solution seems to work, which means I can get back to focusing on the content. I'll be working on a few short-and-sweet ones next - probably Clu Clu Land, Ice Climber, Balloon Fight and Devil World, as they seem fitting. Then I'll work out whether I want to do another adventure game series (possibly Famicom Detective Club) or whether I want to tackle that Mario series. Edit:Also, I love the new banner. Did anyone find the creepy surprise in the homepage banner yet?

Also, I love the new banner. Did anyone find the creepy surprise in the homepage banner yet? Is it something behind Mario?

This update is simply amazing! So awesome, thanks, Fry! From one day to another, there is now more information on those games in English than there has been in the last 15 years combined!

Looks great, Fry. The picture links to both new articles lead to a broken page, however. Just a heads up!

OK, just a heads up on a few more changes... I have extended the main menu to include a Home button (as I kept trying to click there for one instead of the logo) and a new "Features" area. I say new, but it actually only contains the History of Nintendo and Totaka's Song at the moment (there wasn't anywhere to put Totaka's Song after last week's update, and I forgot to put the History of Nintendo up again after the site update last August!) What I'm hoping is that some of our more intense forum battles and discoveries will be turned into features on the site. For example, I'm already working on one feature about how the Koopa Kids are not Bowser's children, but perhaps it would be an idea to have features about the DK family inconsistencies or the Zelda timeline. Maybe not. Maybe I'm just trying to be controversial There have been a few other very small changes that you might notice. I've been busy working on a load of FC/NES updates for early action games. Devil World is already up, while similar work on characters, enemies and items has been completed for Balloon Fight, Clu Clu Land, Ice Climber, Kung Fu and a couple of others. Don't be surprised if Kung Fu is inexplicably next on the site (it only has one cameo... damn you WarioWare!)

Awesome. I think the forum topic idea is fantastic, myself. Look forward to more!

How about a feature that showcases notable third-party games on Nintendo platforms? ...Nah! Why would Nintendo fans care about something like that?

When the 3PS started it was certainly required to stab those protective thoughts from the heads of the fanboys, but I almost feel like that mindset is lifting somewhat amongst the Nintendo faithful (perhaps one of the plus points of Nintendo not releasing much). I also feel the 3PS was reaching a point where it needed its own website. It did pop into my head again when working on the Features though! I didn't forget your noble contribution
