I like the new encyclopedia entries, especially the one for Gumshoe.

Hello everyone! It's been quite some time. I have no surprise announcements or anything. The company who manages my domain names called me today to talk about "how they can help to promote my business" which meant I was looking at NinDB again and feeling wistful. So a quickfire update from me: - I've got two kids now, both girls, one aged 3 years and the other 9 months. The eldest is already becoming quite a Nintendo nerd.
- I stopped working on Nintendo Force magazine last year. I was struggling to meet deadlines with a new baby. I enjoyed the 8 or so years I worked on it. Good times!
- The past couple of years, I got into streaming on Twitch. Unfortunately, streaming and baby sleep schedules don't mix, so I've given that up for a while as well. But I'll be back. I was 100% completing every Donkey Kong Country game, including remakes. I got up to DK: King of Swing. I'm looking forward to getting back into it when I can.
Not a huge update from me. I'd love to be working on NinDB again, or illustrating, or putting out videos... If anyone can think of a way to stop time in a way that means I can finish all my project plans, I'd appreciate it

Good to see you around here again, Fry! We've been keeping the lights on for you. Mostly.

I appreciate that. I never expect anyone to be here But then I can't deny the allure of social media is wearing thin. Maybe it's time for a return to this sorta thing?

I think the forum has always had its place. While it often goes stretches without any activity, we always come back with something to talk about eventually.
Although, lately it seems like we might be using it more like a community blog or an archive.

If you've popped your head onto the NinDB homepage recently, you may have noticed that I've done a few updates. These are largely to revisit the top-bar menu and wider layout that I started implementing a couple years ago, then abandoned. I also fixed the audio files for the Totaka's Song Guide. Well, since then, I've been hit by the bug and have been hard at work on the site in the background. The new layout will soon be applied to every page on the site. Game pages are going to be collated, so there is one page for a game and all its various remakes (seeing as multi-platform reissues are becoming increasingly common). I will be reinstating the series navigation that I apparently deleted at some point. In the spirit of reinstating lost content, I've also been trawling through the archives. I'm creating archives of lost features, including Third Party Showcase (2006-2008, with Nester's blessing) and Nintendo All-Stars (2004-2005, 2007). Remember those? I don't want to promise too much, but all of these projects are well under way. I need to try and finish them before I get distracted by something like, I dunno, a new 100+ hour Zelda game coming out in a week I've paid for a Dreamweaver license, and I'm going to make sure I get my money's worth, dangit! Love you all! How are you doing?

Always good to see you drop in, Fry!
I noticed the new homepage no longer has a link to the forum. Wasn't sure if that was intentional or an oversight.

The forum link has moved into the footer. It was missing from the page template I was using before, but I put it back in when I realised I'd never be able to find my way back here without it What's a "bookmark"?
