So, with the confirmation of three of the names from the apparently leaked list, I think we can refer to the rest as official names.
Thoughts on Timburr/Gurdurr/Conkeldurr? What about Throh and Sawk?

I chuckled when I saw Timburr & Gurdurr on the list. Not sure what conkel's supposed to stand for... concrete? Either way it makes the DURRR stand out more.
Throh isn't very clever and I have no clue how they came up with Sawk (I'm totally naming mine T.Sawk though)

"Sawk" = "sock" most likely, "sock" being a somewhat dated synonym for a punch.
Anyway, I've got a love-hate relationship with this generation's names. The ones that are bad are really bad, but the ones that are clever are really goddamn clever. I'll adjust, so I won't make a big fuss of it now...but why did Cofagrigus have to get stuck with one of the super-awful-bad ones D:

Yesterday, Serebii.net posted the full list of English Pokémon names, fully confirming the leaked list, and adding the names for Darmanitan's alternate form ( Zen mode), and the names of the final 3 event legendaries: - Keldeo
- Meloetta (Aria Forme the Psychic one, and Pirouette Forme the Fighting one)
- Genesect

Serebii didn't confirm the list was real, it's just using them since every revealed name so far has matched up with it. So it's 99% certain the list is real at this point.

^ Where do they get the certainty of the alternate forms and the last legendaries from, then? They were not in the leaked list. EDIT: And btw, I didn't credit fan sites for Basculin's form names because they're on the official site since Tuesday

Weren't they? I dunno, I'm just basing it on what was said in the update on Serebii. Maybe he just worded it badly, he is good at that.

Did I already post this? But I love Roggenrola. It sounds like a Gen 1 name.
Generation 1 had very silly/ corny names like Geodude. Really "Dude"?

Bouffalant and Tauros are similar in their base animals and because their names say... nothing.
Then we have Klink, Klang, Klinklang, Elgyem, Beheeyem, all with empty meanings (though I love the former ones).
But the most first-generation-like ones are Throh and Sawk. Cuz they Sawk ;D

Bheeyem isn't empty. It's an allusion to a very old science fiction term, BEM, short for bug-eyed monster. Elgyem is short for little green man.

Yeah xD But I don't like much them being made up of letter names. Oemgee!
It's very much like NY and LA.

It is based on the registry of domain names genesect.com, kyurem.com and meloetta.com about a (week?) after the release of Pokémon Black and White in Japan; they have been parked on behalf of Melbourne IT Digital Brand Services who have provided domain name management for Nintendo intellectual property in the past.

I heard that's the reason why Bulbapedia, etc. were using those since last year. But, that still excludes the name "Zen mode" for Darmanitan's form, and Meloetta's "Aria Forme" and "Pirouette Forme". Where from? I love your nickname! ;D
