Sarkofogys, perhaps? A Victreebel'd version of the word "sarcophogus," 10 letters, and if desired, it could be read "Sar-cough-og-ice" to make it sound different.

Go go stores breaking the street date... sorta
Gather 'round, for 't is time that 12 year old Stalin searches the lands for his very own Scraggy.. and a water monster to replace that dopey otter thing with.

Happy Black & White release, Europe!!
By the way, Masuda said in a recent interview that all European editions were translated directly from Japanese, making that the reason for the "early" release date this time.

Here's an info chart (unoffcial) about the differences between black and white and what Pokemon are in which. If it weren't for Koffing already existing what about a name like Kof-in / coffin pun . . . or Toomby? (tomb)

Is it me or is this game more grindy than the previous gens? Also the wild monsters are ussually 1 or 2 levels higher than the trainers hanging out there... I guess to make it more tempting to add those new goofy monsters to your team.
And I thought the worldmap showing the desert and metropolis so close together looked odd enough, but it's even stranger ingame. You run around a lush green city only to exit North straight into a friggen sandstorm... where they're in the process of building more shit? Atleast Earthbound had a lake seperating Fourside and desert...

I've been playing for the last few days. Yeaaaaah, I think it's my favourite generation. Except... did they just remove the height comparison feature from the Pokédex? Bulbapedia says it's still there, but I haven't been able to find it. Sucks if it's gone, I used to load up the game to look at those every time I drew a Pokémon picture. You run around a lush green city only to exit North straight into a friggen sandstorm... where they're in the process of building more shit? I didn't spend a great deal of time in America, but I do remember having that experience a few times as we were driving from place to place. So as far as I was concerned, that part was just an asute observation on Game Freak's part. XD

It can actually be quite accurate. I mean, the Oregon area is naturally a gigantic forest. It shares a border with desert state Nevada and goddamn flat state Idaho. GF may have caught that vibe. But really, it's also not inaccurate for another reason: We do shit like that. "This desert's boring, let's make a city here and plant shit and get water here and whatever." End result? Any major city in California.

That's true. Still it just looks odd to see a blue, calm skyline when inside the city followed by eternal raging sandstorms after going through a short tunnel. Those apartments on the sandy side must be dirt cheap
They should've done the sandstorm thing somewhere in the center of the desert route. Other than not looking weird it'd save me a lot of 'buffeted by sandstorm!' crap.

Route 1 is forcing you to enter the grass when coming back from the next town. I don't think that happened since Kanto.
During Autumn, anyway!

What I've noticed about B/W...
Lass is back! I don't remember seeing her last gen... Pokemon Centers are back to saying "We hope to see you again!" which always bothered weird people. Why is it Autumn ingame? I thought the seasons were supposed to be accurate?

Because its Autumn down in the Southern Hemisphere, aka the Best Hemisphere.
Actually I'm pretty sure the seasons aren't meant to be accurate, instead they change every month, so you'll be out of autumn pretty soon.

Yeah, January would have been spring, February would have been summer, and so on.
I guess it's only in Japan that it began in spring (September).

It'd be a nightmare if the seasons were accurate. Just like Animal Crossing.

I love the game, but I loathe Team Plasma. I know Pokemon villains aren't supposed to be super-fleshed out, but these guys are so flat they'd make Paper Mario blush. N is an intolerable hypocrite with twisted logic and the Plasma grunts are dumbasses through and through. I mean - yeah, the Grunts are never that smart, mostly just being sheep, but these guys especially so. Rocket grunts know what Team Rocket is about; Aqua and Magma grunts understand their teams' goals and ideals, even if they can't perceive the long-term consequences; and Galactic grunts, while just as clueless as Plasma grunts, at least have the (dis)advantage of Cyrus' plans being misleading and abstract. Stupid, but abstract nonetheless.
Team Plasma, though, is about one simple, easily-comprehended goal: liberate Pokemon from humans. The grunts take the negative qualities from all four previous teams': the thuggish, kleptomaniacal nature of Rocket grunts, the inability to perceive the long-term picture of Aqua and Magma grunts, and the sheer ignorance of Galactic grunts. Having an enemy team that is so largely incapable of understanding such a simple concept is...astounding.
And the fact that they're the Pokemon's version of PETA helps. Stupid hippies.
(Though a Plasma grunt did earn a legitimate chuckle from me with the "Plasbad" comment. Curse GameFreak for pandering towards my love of goofy portmanteaus!)
