I could go on an extended rant on what makes Team Plasma abysmal, but A// most of you tend not to care and B// all it does is vilify me and make me look pretentious. (I like to save that sort of thing for proper reviews, and if time permits, Team Plasma will come under my crosshairs.) To that extent, I'll defend myself as succinctly as possible: I've beaten the game, though I haven't gone to take on the Elite 4 for the second time yet. That said, Team Plasma is an assemblage of high improbabilities; yes, Ghetsis has been manipulating N (N is his son?) and the grunts, but that just makes him look like a two-bit Cyrus, but you also have to tell me that the Plasma Grunts - which we already know are dumb as bricks - have all managed to keep Ghetsis' plans secret from N. This trait alone stretches the gamer's suspension of disbelief near to snapping, but factor in all of the negative traits I mentioned before and Team Plasma, N and Ghetsis lose all credibility. Besides, if Ghetsis' plan is to - you guessed it - take over the world (OF COURSE!), Team Plasma officially loses out to Team Galactic in terms of hollow, lame-assed goals.
I stand by my previous post. This is the first team to miss their own point so galactically since...well, Team Galaxy. Though to Team Plasma's credit, there were those two NPCs who actually questioned what Team Plasma was doing without being a pretentious fop like N. Why weren't they our main villains? They have I think five lines collectively and I'm much more interested in their story than Ghetsis or N's.

Actually, once you get to N's Castle, a large majority of Grunts question if what they're doing is right. One mentions that he loves the team he has worked with and thinks because of this he's not cut out as a Plasma Grunt, and another one is trying to push away a Patrat that has become attached to him, and he also realizes that he actually cares for his Pokemon too.
These are the only examples I can remember.

There isn't any question that the Plasma Grunts are morons. Ghetsis specifically says that the most gullible people in the region were the first ones to join his cause.
Plasma being out to conquer the region didn't really bother me. The villains in about 98% of all video games I've played have been out to either take over or destroy the country/world/galaxy/universe. Being mad about that would be like getting annoyed that the game uses the D-Pad for control. It's been done to death!

Further, if Ghetsis kept the ACTUAL plan to himself (I haven't gotten far enough, I'm trying to find a WiFi spot to score some Victini before I carry on, I just don't give a shit about spoilers,) then how would the grunts know Ghetsis' plan from a video game plot?

I caught this shiny birdie at 33:33 Too bad (1) its nature doesn't do much and (2) shiny Unfezant isn't that good, especially female.

So when is that dream world thingamabob gonna launch again?
Also Winter doesn't really feel as wintery as I expected it to be. Aside from the two whole areas that have some piles of snow, the whole continent just palette swapped to grey grass and popsicle blue trees.

As far as I've read It's still unconfirmed. And yeah, Winter is pretty non frozen. I kind of expected mounds of snow every where... I guess the non-snowy places are based off the more southern states of the US, like Florida. Oh, well.

Awesome! Time to buy a router, it seems... Also, and I don't know if you guys have talked about it yet, but... Yeah. Triple Battles or Rotation Battles, which do you prefer? I personally prefer Rotation Battles. I haven't had any competitive ones yet (lack of wifi connection for my DS) but basically, it's because of this: Johans N. dice (7:36 PM) Say your opinion on rotation battles Shadrio X dice (7:36 PM) awesome Johans N. dice (7:36 PM) & metagame possibilities Shadrio X dice (7:39 PM) I find it better than triple battles it's just... double battles v1.1 Shadrio X dice (7:40 PM) Rotation... it's single battles 1.1 not better but still awesome Johans N. dice (7:41 PM) Yeah, rotation battles are like letting your opponent see your Pokémon (like in Colosseum series), except they're all in battle at the same time Shadrio X dice (7:42 PM) and you never know when the "switch" will come Johans N. dice (7:42 PM) Though I'm still annoyed at the possible infinity of mind-reading games Shadrio X dice (7:42 PM) the only place where they lack is total surprise Johans N. dice (7:43 PM) Yeah Shadrio X dice (7:43 PM) cause, when you see a Gyarados stay into a pokemon like starmie or jolteon you know that there's another jolteon or even an Electivire that's coming into the switch Shadrio X dice (7:44 PM) but you're not 100% sure and with triple [Rotation] battles you see the pokemon right there Johans N. dice (7:44 PM) Still as complex Shadrio X dice (7:44 PM) but you STILL don't know if he's actually going to do the switch or even if he's switching to the other pokemon Johans N. dice (7:44 PM) THAT Shadrio X dice (7:45 PM) that's why Rotation battles are single battle v1.1 Johans N. dice (7:45 PM) Or if yes because of the possible no in your mind Etc. Immunities will matter a lot in decision making Shadrio X dice (7:45 PM) and in a Rotation battle, you still have 6 pokemon on your team Johans N. dice (7:45 PM) Weaknesses/strengths, not that much Shadrio X dice (7:46 PM) so... an unsuspected switch and BOOM so much decision making TORTURE now that's an awesome battle Triple battles... meh good thing I bought pokemon Black Long as hell, I know. This is why I support Spoiler Tags, but that's just me.

I prefer Triple Battles personally, but it's kind of depressing how infrequently it, Rotation Battles and Double Battles are used. (I'm not even counting Battle Subway. Those are just grindfests with not nearly enough reward.)
As for Team Plasma - having played through the game a second time, I stand by most of my previous allegations with the following exception: yes, Ghetsis did keep his plans for world domination to himself, but that didn't stop the majority of Team Plasma from wanting to do just that anyway.
Also, I checked each room in Team Plasma's castle. Only one of the many grunts questioned the team's motives, while the others were just straight ig'nint, dawg.
Also, I really, really, really, really cannot stand N. There's just way to much about him that sets me off: the blind idealism, the fact that his name is just a single letter (thanks, Death Note), the fact that nobody arrested him at the end of the game even though, as Team Plasma's king, he's responsible for all of the crimes committed under his regime (especially since he, you know, admitted to acknowledging and encouraging his men to steal Pokemon), and above all, his hypocrisy. N spends the entire game whining about Pokemon being his friends and the evils of keeping them all in Pokeballs...but whenever you fight him, his team is completely different from the last time (seriously, not even any evolutions of previous team members) and he keeps them in Pokeballs.
That said, I really love this generation, Team Plasma be damned. Just beat the Elite Four in my second playthrough and am exploring the new routes. It will be good times.

Best things about Black & White:
1. The new experience system. Much less grindy post-game. 2. The low-health music. I was genuinely impressed when it kicked in for the first time. 3. The fact that there are NO old Pokemon before beating the Elite Four anywhere. No Zubat, no Geodude, no Ponyta... AGAIN! Also, I notice no way to catch Pikachu or its evos in either game... Is this the first Pokemon game without Pikachu at all?
Worst things about Black & White:
1. Triple/Rotation Battles - I don't like 'em. I don't really like double battles either, but I've had nearly 10 years to get over that... 2. Massive difference in catchables between Black & White thanks to White Forest. Makes trading difficult later on. 3. Everybody picked Tepig or Oshawott... I have one NOW thanks to GTS, but I haven't met a single player who picked Snivy. Less gay grass types next time!

I would've picked the snake, but flamboyant fire monkey was bigger priority.
Anyhoo I got these questions about triple/rotation battles. I was hoping that maybe someone here could make things clear to me:
- With rotation battles, does rotating a mon clear any stat up moves you used before, much like switching in 1 on 1 battles? Or will those stat changes be kept until you actually switch it out?
- With 3 on 3, do abilities work on your entire team regardless of position or is it much like the attacks, like how using Surf on your left will only hurt the enemy's right and center mon. For example abilities like Lightningrod or Cherrim's Flower Gift ability: does lightningrod still work if not in the enemy's attack range and does flower gift powerup the whole party regardless of position?
Enlighten me Pokemon professors!

Rotation battle Rotating: "Rotating can be done during both the player's and the opponent's turns and has a priority of +6. Rotating is different to switching in that it doesn't use up a turn, reset status ailments like confusion and bad poison, or reset ability counters like Slow Start. Rotating Pokémon are not hit by Pursuit nor are they affected by Shadow Tag or Arena Trap. Rotating does not trigger abilities that trigger upon switching such as Natural Cure." - BulbapediaI knew most of these, but the abilities not restarting was something I didn't know (I can really see people using Regigigas in Rotation Battles now). But as for Triple Battles... I don't know. I guess I don't give much about Triple Battles (I don't even know everything about Double Battles, which never really interested me).

Hmmmm, it doesn't mention anything about keeping stat changes, but my guess is those stick around if status ailments stick around too. Thanks.
